In February we walked around Stratford, but no photographs were taken. For the March walk, we met at Tesco in Warwick, where we had permission to park on their car park. 19 members were present and we had an enjoyable walk around Warwick, taking in the canal side, the River Avon, St Nicholas’s Park, Warwick Castle, the town centre, the Race Course, Hill Close Gardens, and back along the canal.

The photograph was taken in Mill Street near the entrance to The Mill Garden.

In June ten group members met at The National Trust Hidcote car park on a nice sunny dry day, such a change from the very wet conditions experienced recently. We walked over the hills by to Foxcot House and back by a roughly circular route. Condi- tions were good except for some water puddles in places on the tracks.

Thirteen group members met in the National Trust car park at for a 6 mile walk around , Middle Hill Farm, and along the River Dene back to Charlecote. The walk was enlivened by an incident when one of our party slipped from the path into a very deep ditch. Fortunately, we were able to extricate said person fairly quickly with only a damp bottom to show for it.

Eleven group members met in village, near the church. They walked about 6 miles, mostly on hard paths or bridleways, with only short distances where the going was wet or muddy. After all the rain in September Val and Fred did well to find a route with- out too much mud. There was little sign of autumn shades in the trees and hedgerows, with blackberries and sloes still available to pick.

A good group of walkers met in Hampton Lucy for our monthly walk. The weather had been very wet and this was apparent in the wet and muddy nature of the paths in places. The day was dry for our walk, which was a blessing. We had a good walk with few Incidents, other than slippery slopes due to mud, and a stray dog, whose owner we even- tually came across.
