NAU opened the season with a 30-10 win at UTEP, but have since lost three of their last four games. They lost at home to Eastern Washington and at Missouri State, before beating Southern Utah at home 31-23. They are coming off a 56-42 loss at Idaho State last weekend. NAU leads the nation in interceptions with 10 this season in five games. They are also tied for first in the country in turnovers gained, having forced 14 turnovers with 10 interceptions and four fumbles. HEAD COACH JEROME SOUERS The ‘Jacks are coached by Jerome Souers who is in his 21st season at Northern Arizona. Souers began his career at NAU in 1998 and has compiled a career record of 121-111, heading into this week. He also has a career Big Sky record of 83-74. He is the Big Sky’s all-time leader in career overall wins and conference wins. He has a career record of 10-7 against Weber State.

SERIES HISTORY This will be the 52nd all-time meeting between the two schools, with Weber State leading the series 26-25. Jay Hill is in his fifth season as the head coach at Weber State. In addition to his duties as head Hill Profile coach, Hill also serves as the defensive coordinator for the Wildcats. After a historic season in 2017, Hill was named the Utah Coach of the Year as part of the Governor’s State of Sport Awards. Born: March 16, 1976 Alma Mater: Utah ‘00, 05 Hill has led the Wildcats to back-to-back FCS Playoff appearances and three-straight winning sea- Wife: Sara sons. His Big Sky winning percentage is currently the best in school history. Record at WSU: 29-24 (.547) In 2017, Hill led Weber State to its best season in school history. Hill engineered the Wildcat defense that was one of the best in the country in 2017. Weber State 2 All-Americans finished in the top 10 in the country in interceptions, turnovers gained and red zone defense.
