Process Management

The Process Management workshop is dedicated to those who want to improve their professional skills on process management. The workshop is addressed to managers from all levels, project managers, consultants responsible for the creation of new business processes, and those who are involved in the implementation of new or existing process within their company.

This four-day workshop will cover the methods, diagnostics and tools for optimising and modelling production and service processes. The workshop which includes a simulation game, aims at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of existing business processes. After attending the full four day Process Management program you will receive the Facilitator Certificate.

ICTN’s training programs focus not only on the essential skills but on the overall attitude of those who must apply these skills to guarantee organizational success. You can teach your people, BUT, you cannot make them want to apply the acquired skills on a daily basis. This is why ICTN pays great attention to the psychology of your employees; because we know that this is the trigger that motivates employees to WANT to apply the skills they have learned. ROI – Return on Training Investments Made 1. Immediate and tangible results within one month of training completion date; ROI resulting from implementing the acquired concept of process management and improving existing processes in the organization. 2. Actual, quantitative demonstration that training programs secured for staff are of added value to the company because they measurably improve staff performance and attitude. 3. Employee loyalty is more guaranteed to the organization that invests in their staff’s professional development. The result is better performance, higher retention and employee self-esteem, because of the organization’s commitment to development and the employee’s ability to perform at a consistently higher standard.

Ref: Page 1 Process Management What is it About? The duration of the entire program is for four days and is divided into two distinct parts of two days each. Part 1 is PROCESS MODELING and Part 2 is PROCESS OPTIMISATION. Their combination in any sequence forms a complete workshop covering all necessary abilities which a KAIZEN LEADER should formally possess. The classes are conducted in an interactive form. During the workshop, various training methods are used, cases are presented, individual and group exercises are provided, scenarios and simulations are worked on. Additionally, during the OPTIMISATION workshop, the participants take part in a simulation of a process. While playing a simulation game in groups (KAIZEN project), they observe, in individual modules, an analysis of various phenomena for a poorly managed process. They measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the process, calculate the costs of poor quality (COPQ), and observe the improvement of early warning. Using their own experience, the participants strive to improve the process during the simulation, by applying the classic techniques for managing an enterprise, such as the LEAN management technique.

The entire training provides an added value, namely supplementary tools.

Workshop Objective The workshop will enable participants:  to properly define a business process  to master key methods of process modelling and process optimisation  to conduct process pre-diagnostics skilfully; to create a system of process measurement  to identify the ‘root causes’ properly in order to improve the process  to communicate knowledge and tools in order to create and select an appropriate decision scenario  to design a pilot improvement program  to introduce permanent change to processes in order to attain permanent improvement

Ref: Page 2 What Skills Will You Gain? After completing the Part 1: MODELING two day workshop the participants will be able to:  Put the learnt concept of process management into practice  Use the process mapping and measuring tools  Identify processes being part of the operation of their enterprise  Evaluate and improve existing processes

After completing the Part 2: OPTIMISATION two-day workshop the participants will be able to:  Implement and put into practice the Deming PDCA cycle in their business environment  Improve existing processes in their organisations, taking into account the effectiveness and savings provided by ‘process thinking’  Concentrate on the value of final product or provided service, by reducing and eliminating all factors which delay, impede or make the value generating process more expensive

Participation in both parts of the workshop enables to obtain a KAIZEN Facilitator Certificate.

The next round provides the opportunity to generate the process map and to measure its effectiveness and efficiency according to the concept of Y = f(x1, x2, x3, … xn). The third round helps to calculate the Costs of Poor Quality (COPQ). In the final round the participants apply process improvement (KAIZEN) and measure its optimization output using Rollout Throughput Yield (RTY).
