Thursday, May 30, 2019 ARTIST SPOTLIGHT Amy Jack Single: “If Not For Friends” Songwriters: Amy Jack, Don Goodman, Duane Hitchings, Joanna Jack John Bio: Amy Jack delivers this up-tempo anthem, “If Not For Friends,” with total commitment and conviction. The song was Inspired by a real event that nearly destroyed her family’s Oklahoma ranch. When a large fre broke out on the property, frst responders, fre departments and friends from 12 surrounding counties converged on the ranch to extinguish the fames. In the aftermath of that experience, Amy did what she always does . taking to pen and paper, she found the words and music to empathetically share the story and give thanks “her way.” Out of the fres arose this feeling of gratitude and recognition of what is most important in this life. In “If Not For Friends” Amy solidifes this aphoristic maxim with a pulsing backbeat and melodic guitar themes as hot as the fres that inspired the song. She now dedicates the song to the frst responders, emergency workers and food victims nationwide. Amy Jack is a musical force to be reckoned with. Artist, singer, songwriter, producer, and label owner, she is as comfortable on the charts as she is charting out hits in the company of Mega-Class-Hit Co- Writing partners including Dennis Morgan (“I Knew You Were Waiting” Aretha Franklin, “Smoky Mountain Rain” Ronnie Milsap) and Duane Hitchings (“Do Ya’ Think I’m Sexy” “Young Turks” Rod Stewart). The list goes on, as Amy seems to have endless energy and enthusiasm for music and music business and is constantly looking forward to and producing her next project.
