Webster Bank ‘Drafted’ To Sponsor MAAC Women’s Championship Game Game is slated for March 7 at 1 p.m. at at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport and will be broadcast on ESPNU

Waterbury, Conn., March 1, 2011 – Webster Bank, a leading New England financial institution, will be the presenting sponsor of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference’s (MAAC) Spark Energy Women’s Basketball Championship Game. The game is scheduled for Monday, March 7 at the Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, Conn., beginning at 1 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on ESPNU. Webster Bank Chairman and CEO Jim Smith will present the championship trophy to the winning team.

For every Family Four-Pack purchased throughout the championships, Webster will make a $5.00 donation to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission. A Family Four-Pack is $65.50 and includes four tickets (two adult, two child), four hot dogs, four sodas and four bags of chips. The MAAC was founded in 1980 by six charter members: the U.S. Military Academy, Fairfield University, , Iona College, and Saint Peter's College.
