LongBeachExpo.com A Division of Collectors Universe, Inc. • NASDAQ:CLCT A Division of Collectors Universe, Inc. • NASDAQ:CLCT LONG BEACH 50th ANNIVERSARY! Dear Long Beach Dealers and Attendees: We did it! It is with great pleasure that we celebrate 50 years of producing the biggest coin, currency, stamp & sports collectible show on the West Coast. A 50 year anniversary is often considered to be the “Golden Anniversary.” It seems fitting that we mark this occasion with the element from which we have built our success. While we can’t shower you with gold coins to thank you for your loyalty and attendance, we do want you to know that since 1964, the one consistent factor of the Long Beach Expo has been YOU. We know that there have been many changes and people who have come and gone; however, it has always been the loyal customers and dealers that have made the Long Beach Expo the institution it is today. The Long Beach Expo has several components that make it unique: • Business is always booming with over 400 tables manned by the top coin dealers in their numismatic field. There are tens of millions of dollars worth of coins from all over the world for you to see and enjoy. Stop by as many tables as possible, since there’s no telling what types of treasures you may find around the corner. The show floor provides activities for everyone to buy, sell, certify, appraise or consign, with one of our Long Beach exhibitors. • Another mainstay of our show is our dealer friendly environment. Over the years we have heard a lot of feed- back that, back in the “good old days,” the dealers were celebrated with food, drink and entertainment. To keep up with the times, but reinforce this sentiment, we introduced free WI-FI and a welcome reception on dealer set-up night. Let me tell you…it is a sight to be seen when a dealer drops off a FedEx box with a beer in his hand and a half dozen taquitos masterfully piled on a cocktail plate! All kidding aside, we love to empha- size the sentiment of gratitude through the aforementioned highlights as well as our attention to customer service. We are fully aware that our dealers provide the foundation of what continues to be the greatest show on the West Coast. • When perusing through our aisles of top notch dealers, you would be certain to find tons of rare examples of coins, currency, sports cards, stamps, exonumia, and even jewelry. You may even discover that one item you’ve been searching for years to find. The Long Beach Expo is truly a collector’s paradise. As our hobby of collecting continues to grow and flourish, it is important for our team to provide the best outlet to do as much business as possible. There is something magical about our attendees adding to or even completing their collections. We are hopeful to play even a small role in your tremendous achievement. • For the kids - we truly want this to be an experience that collectors of all ages can enjoy. Young collectors are encouraged to take part in our Long Beach Expo Treasure Hunt on Saturday. The treasure hunt will challenge your youngsters to collect clues to complete the map and win prizes. Our sincere hope is that the experience of participating will peak their interest and be the start of a lifetime love and appreciation for collecting. • The location on the beautiful California coastline offers us nothing short of “WOW” when we step out and feel the warm sun accompanied by the ever-present cool, ocean breezes. With restaurants, bars, comedy clubs and shopping all within walking distance, there is no need to rent a car. During the Long Beach Expo you’ll always see groups of friendly colleagues strolling up Pine Avenue on their way to 555 Steak House or L’Opera. This show is not just an event, but an experience. Cheers to another 50! We look forward to celebrating with you all throughout 2014. Please mark our future dates in your calendar and be a part of the continued celebrations!
