The dog and pony show over here re: 9/11 and to this day, Jesse Ventura cannot explain the dust on the girders which are locked up. ● David Icke talking of Ahmadinejad shutting the Straits of Hormuz – it is about currency, not the petro dollar – this is why Republicans and crazies are talking of Iran having a nuke to be detonated over Israel. ● This has to do with why the unusual particles are showing up from the sun, and the spontaneous transformation of the half life of the isotopes becoming one with the sun; our DNA is changing ● Icke spoke of certain folks getting their super human abilities back and doing things – the good news is not being reported. ● This needs to be reported – why the independent radio stations and T & R need to keep going Chris Hayes: Up with Chris Hayes this morning – try and listen David Wilcox – use Firefox to open, not Internet Explorer – has something to do with whatever is being played – his 3rd instalment about Neil Keenan and the $134 T lawsuit – why Putin and Merkel will get on the stage and tell the story. Thom Hartmann: Friday Show, Sam Seder as host ● Talking of stunning turn of events where we see Republicans Newt and Perry turning on Romney, not for anything in personal life or illicit, but his role in the financial co - it is a moral critique of capitalism that we never hear from the Republicans, seldom from Democrats, and consistently from the Occupy folks ● Fascinating when one who is so much part of the establishment is getting attacked. ● Thom spoke of Jared Diamond's book Collapse – they are so far removed emotionally and intellectually from ordinary people, and as a result they drive the country over the cliff ● Thom plays Romney being interviewed by Matt Lauer – Clip #9 – Matt asks if it is . “it's only appropriate to talk about income inequality in quiet rooms!!!” Romney's words! ● This is an implicit agreement that there is massive income inequality; but don't talk about it in public : just don't want the peasants to understand how they are getting screwed ● The real question is what is the Pres of the US going to do with this gift he is being handed by Newt, Perry, Romney? ● Speech by Kruger, chairman of BO's economic policy board – Kruger speaks as Robert Reich does ● Thom's book Screwed is about the middle class growth, and the fight for political and social change ● Kruger says people would have had an extra $5900 per year to use - didn't happen Caller: Calling re Reich's comments - Sam: we've socialized the risks and privatized the rewards – a general statement, need to look at each case – need to use the loans carefully Guest: Robert Reich [see www.RobertReich.org] [SEE BELOW] Sam: liked the piece “The Bain of Capitalism” RR: has been making the same attacks on Mitt R and now it is refreshing to hear Newt, & other Republicans talk about leveraged capitalism SS: Perry calls it vulture capitalism; yet it is not a unique form of capitalism RR: began in the 1980s – borrowing a lot of money, taking over companies, putting them in danger because of the rate of loans, letting people go, selling the company for a profit – the essence of what Repub economists say we need: get rid of under performing companies – yet lots of pain for the workers RR: When we talk of under performing companies, we are not talking of companies that are destined to fail but companies that can be squeezed for profits and shares because the companies being too sensitive to their communities, to their workers, to the quality of their product SS: he has the sense that the leverage buy-out stuff is about turning companies into financial products RR Companies spoke of their stake holders as being important voices in the companies – workers, communities, the share holder; now the share holder is the only one of importance and companies now exist only for that one stakeholder: the share holder. If you buy companies that are too sensitive and squeeze them, you can can squeeze out more profit SS: RR tokes the story one step further and challenges the critics of Bain Capital to take the next 2012, Jan 14 Saturday History Call 3 / 30 step – but they won't answer, so what would RR do? RR: should restrict leverage buyouts – either prohibited, or prohibited from putting companies in debt – or maybe hold company stock for a certain period of time instead of flipping them - or if you flip them, your capital tax should be 40, 50 60% ● The media and the voters ought to be saying :what Romney does is wrong; what laws should be put in place Sam: the Democrats should be doing this.

  • We Welcome Your Support in Our Nonpartisan War on Waste. It's Your
PAID ADVERTISEMENT President Donald J. Trump The White House 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW Washington, DC 20500 Dear Mr. President, In our previous two communications in The Wall Street Journal, we called attention to the lurking threat our country faces from an exploding national debt fueled by runaway government spending. We urged you to lead a national campaign to restore fi scal soundness to our great country by waging a nonpartisan War on Waste. From a recent U.S. Government Accountability Offi ce report*: “Since 2003…cumulative improper payment estimates have totaled about $1.4 trillion.” $1,400,000,000,000. Examples of improper payments are payments to doctors with suspended or revoked medical licenses or to people identifi ed as deceased in federal death fi les. A War on Waste is long overdue. We respectfully recommend that you announce to the nation that you are beginning a four-step War on Waste, that stamping out profl igate government spending is a top priority of your administration. Step 1 – Start a Transparency Revolution Publicize every White House expenditure. Direct every department and agency in your administration to follow suit. Classifi ed expenditures would be excluded. Transparency will be a culture-changing force. It will revolutionize government. It will infl uence how people vote. Knowing there is nowhere to hide will motivate politicians to earn votes with fi scal prudence rather than wasting taxpayer dollars by buying votes. We are living in the Information Age and the Big Data world. There is no reason why every government expenditure should not be public, accessible to the voting public via cell phone, computer, and iPad.

  • Our Conspiratorial Cartoon President During Almost Comically
Our Conspiratorial Cartoon President During Almost Comically Consequential Times December 2018, latest revisions June 12, 2020 "What we are before is like a strait, a tricky road, a passage where we need courage and reason. The courage to go on, not to try to turn back; and the reason to use reason; not fear, not jealousy, not envy, but reason. We must steer by reason, and jettison -- because much must go -- by reason." --- John Fowles, The Aristos (1970) I, Dr. Tiffany B. Twain, am convinced that we Americans could easily create a healthier, happier, fairer and more inclusive country that would give us greater cause for hope for a better future, and a country much more secure for its citizens. A main obstacle to this providentially positive potentiality is the strong opposition to such an eminently salubrious status by “conservative” rich people who want our economic and political systems to remain rigged astonishingly generously in their favor, so that they are able to gain an ever increasing monopoly on the profits made through the exploitation of working people and natural resources. A well-informed electorate is a prerequisite for ensuring that a democracy is healthy, and thereby offers all its citizens truly reasonable representation. This simple understanding makes both humorous and viscerally provocative a political cartoon by David Sipress that appeared in New Yorker magazine soon after the 2016 elections. In this cartoon, a woman ruefully observes to her male companion, "My desire to be well-informed is currently at odds with my desire to remain sane." Ha! Tens of millions of Americans find themselves in this predicament today, as the Donald Trump soap opera, crime saga, healthcare treachery, and interlude of authority abuses becomes increasingly dysfunctional, anxiety inducing and deadly -- and as Trump becomes more unhinged, sinisterly authoritarian and threatening to individual liberties, national security and our greatest American values.

Edward Spannaus reports on Scaife and the Bush "secret government. .. Richard Mellon Scaifehas recently come into prominence as Mont Pelerin Society. Under the guise of "Thatcherism," the bankroller of a news-media campaign aimed at President these groups provided the social and economic policies, and Clinton, while he is sponsoring a cushy "retirement" position much of the staffing, for the so-called "Reagan Revolution," for Whitewater special prosecutor Kenneth Starr. One could say that the earnest money for the "Con Services Anglo-Americanfinancier-intelligencecircles, to do tract with America" was paid by Dickie Scaife. exactly this sort of thing. A third distinctive cluster of organizations funded by Scaife are the right-wing legal foundations and litigation Since Dickie Scaife was allowed to take over the Scaife family groups; originally founded to counter civil libertarians and foundations and trusts in 1973, he has been a principal funder environmentalists, they have increasingly become pro-envi of that network of nominally "conservative" foreign policy ronmentalist and libertarian in their outlook-as well as fi think-tanks which operates as a training ground and as the nancing legal attacks on President Clinton and the Clinton agenda-setter for the foreign service and intelligence commu administration.

We have looked at the importance of closing the wealth gap, providing opportunities for others, and the importance of encouraging others. This week, we invited Foster Friess into the Economic War Room as we look at examples of individuals who have experienced significant success in life and how they are working to make a positive impact in their communities and across America. Foster Friess left the investment business about two decades ago. He was listed by Forbes magazine as one of the greatest investors of this generation, along with John Templeton and Warren Buffett. After he left the investment business, he went into philanthropy and politics. He’s been addressing issues such as civility in politics, school safety, and how to reduce health-care costs. When asked about a significant donation he had made, Foster Friess summed it up best! “I just love the whole notion that I was able to do that, not because I lived in a socialist system, but because I lived in America where I could I could bless other people. What a joy it is when we realize God has created us for a reason, one to be a child of His, to love others, to be His hands and feet in a hurting world, and to be a blessing to every person he puts in our path.” –Foster Friess Your Mission: To keeping fighting for economic liberty and focus on how you can make a positive impact for others while building your treasure in heaven.

  • Inside a Stealth Plan for Political Influence to Fight Campus Liberalism, a Right-Wing Group Is Funneling Thousands of Dollars to Student-Government Campaigns

For Charlie Kirk, higher education is a political battleground — a place where his "Team Right" has been losing for too long. The rising young conservative star uses his frequent Fox News appearances to blast college campuses as "islands of totalitarianism" filled with liberal students and faculty members who force their worldview upon those around them. So Mr. Kirk’s nonprofit political-advocacy group, Turning Point USA, launched a secret counteroffensive. The goal: getting young conservatives elected to student government at universities around the country. Campus-based groups of all political stripes have long encouraged their members to pursue leadership roles, and so have fraternities and sororities. What makes Turning Point unique, student leaders say, is that its outside parent organization provides critical manpower — and thousands of dollars — to help win elections. Critics say Turning Point has taken on the role of a "super PAC" for student government. Evidence of Turning Point’s influence in student elections can be found from coast to coast.

Lance Bennett, Chair Matthew J. Powers Kirsten A. Foot Adrienne Russell Program Authorized to Offer Degree: Communication University of Washington Abstract The Political Logic of the Radical Right Media Sphere in the United States Yunkang Yang Chair of the Supervisory Committee: W. Lance Bennett Department of Communication Democracy in America is threatened by an increased level of false information circulating through online media networks. Previous research has found that radical right media such as Fox News and Breitbart are the principal incubators and distributors of online disinformation. In this dissertation, I draw attention to their political mobilizing logic and propose a new theoretical framework to analyze major radical right media in the U.S. Contrasted with the old partisan media literature that regarded radical right media as partisan news organizations, I argue that media outlets such as Fox News and Breitbart are better understood as hybrid network organizations. This means that many radical right media can function as partisan journalism producers, disinformation distributors, and in many cases political organizations at the same time. They not only provide partisan news reporting but also engage in a variety of political activities such as spreading disinformation, conducting opposition research, contacting voters, and campaigning and fundraising for politicians. In addition, many radical right media are also capable of forming emerging political organization networks that can mobilize resources, coordinate actions, and pursue tangible political goals at strategic moments in response to the changing political environment.
