CEEQUAL was a tender commitment and a key project target … to stretch the sustainable performance of the project.
It aided the measurement and review of processes to ensure continual improvement.
CEEQUAL ensured that evidence was collected as the project progressed in order to demonstrate the sustainable approach taken and provide third party confirmation of the sustainable practices undertaken.
The collaborative approach taken, involving the designers and key subcontractors in the development of the strengthening solution, ensured input from all parties; ensuring the most environmentally and socially responsible methodology, minimising disruption to the public, impact to the environment and delivering savings to the client.

In relation to the completed Forth Replacement Crossing M9 Junction 1a and Fife Intelligent Transport System (ITS) projects:
“CEEQUAL has been used to provide a systematic and comprehensive approach to the detailed design and construction of these projects, tracking the site management activities and associated sustainability initiatives, within the overall sustainability objectives of the FRC project.
CEEQUAL also considered environmental aspects not routinely covered by the EIA process such as energy and carbon assessment, which ensured a holistic approach to the project was undertaken and all aspects of sustainable development were duly considered.”
