I have a wide experience from music, entertainment and technology industries from different companies, roles and viewpoints. All are connected somehow with marketing of creative contents, licensing of rights and working with audio and sound. I worked with labels like Universal and with marketing and A&R. I have been heading BMG Music Publishing office in Finland, started my own label and publishing company Elements Music and headed the digital licensing of Finnish Composer ́s Copyright Society TEOSTO. After close to 15 years with music business, I decided to see the world of tech industries and worked on marketing roles with Nokia, Microsoft and Finnish audio company Genelec. That was an interesting track and have paid lots of views for the re-thinking the needs and potential of the music business. I moved back to music in early 2017 when I re-joined TEOSTO to head the work with international accounts and Teosto ́s rightsholder memberships. I have been advocating the potential of writers and publishing for Finnish music export for a long time. I still believe Finland have huge potential in this field. Finnish publishing ecosystem is quite different from many other European countries and that creates its own challenges for the export work. I also advocate about the potential of music/sound in brand communication and I have promoted audio branding to be understood more widely. I have commercial studies background, I ́m currently finalizing my MBA studies on digital service development. Finnish Music Publishers Association
