Think again! Since their inception FURYON have been a band who like nothing more than to challenge expectations. Raised on a diet of heavy metal, prog, and classic rock, FURYON mix all these components for a truly unique and contemporary sound. Delivering huge rock radio friendly songs, with technically challenging, yet infectiously catchy musicianship. Dedicated to one sole purpose, making hard hitting songs that will stand the test of time. From the outset FURYON have been forces to be reckoned with live. Word of mouth meant they soon became one of the biggest draws in Brighton’s busy rock scene, selling out shows at the iconic Concorde 2 venue, usually reserved for high profile touring bands. The blistering power and passion of a FURYON show is something very special to behold. What separates FURYON from the crowd is the sheer quality of their musicianship. Boasting two truly world class guitarists in the form of Chris Green, and Pat “The Shred” Heath. FURYON have few peers when it comes to the quality of their iconic riffs, and jaw dropping solos. Backing them up is one of the tightest rhythm sections the rock world has to offer with the awesome combination of Lee Farmery, and Nickel. Leading from the front is the outstanding vocal versatility of Matt Mitchell, whose emotion drenched voice effortlessly moves between melodic and crunchingly heavy. In 2009, after a sellout tour, and accompanying EP, FURYON set about the serious business of writing their debut album. The early demo’s reached the ears of US producer Rick Beato (SHINEDOWN, FOZZY), and a powerful and symbiotic relationship was formed. It became obvious immediately that Beato and FURYON were on the same page creatively, so much so that the band flew out to his Atlanta studio to record their stunning debut album the aptly named “GRAVITAS” in 2010. FURYON are now pleased to announce that they have signed for management to ROCK N GROWL with the insight of taking their music to the masses. See you out there! Frontiers Records recently announced the worldwide release of FURYON’s debut album, Gravitas, on March 23 in Europe, March 26 in Japan and March 27 in North America, 2012 and later in Japan incl. bonus tracks. In 2014 the band signed to Dream Records/Cargo Records and released the 2nd album on February 23, 2015 . Dedicated to one sole purpose, making hard hitting songs that will stand the test of time. Whether it’s the Melodic yet Edgy vocals or the shredding guitars, these guys deliver a live show not for the faint hearted. 2009 In the summer of 2009 FURYON flew out to Atlanta and Recorded their Debut album ‘GRAVITAS’ with Platinum selling US Producer ‘Rick Beato’, who’d received huge success producing US stadium Artists such as SHINEDOWN and VINCE NEIL. The chemistry of Beato & FURYON was nothing short of electric and resulted in what has now come to be know as ‘The greatest Unsigned album by a British Rock band in Decades’. 2010 Once back in the UK the band released a limited run of 2000 copies of Gravitas. Rave reviews of the album quickly followed along with sell out shows across the UK. In 2010, Classic Rock magazine loved the sound so much that they mounted 3 tracks from the album called the ‘Underdog EP’ on the magazine to a worldwide market. Weeks later, Metal Hammer magazine chose the track ‘Wasted on You’ to be part of their cover mounted compilation CD, spreading the word of FURYON across all of Europe and resulting in sponsorship from the Energy drink company ‘MONSTER’. The single gained so much momentum that British video game developers ‘Codemasters’ insisted the song be part of the soundtrack for their upcoming game ‘DIRT 3’, which subsequently went to number 1 in the gaming charts. With music festivals in particular, there is an additional emphasis on the chance to experience live music by often idolised musicians within a temporary community of shared musical interests. However, whilst a music festival may attract visitors through advertising an attractive and appealing line-up of popular acts, this far from guarantees a happy customer. There are many other elements that contribute to and impact upon the experience of the festival-goer (Morgan, 2008: 83). If these elements are managed well, this can result in benefits for both the consumer, through positive emotional and cognitive experiences, and for the organisation through repeat custom, recommendations and increased sales.

  • Decision on Relevant Merger Situation and Substantial Lessening of Competition
Completed acquisition by LN-Gaiety Holdings Limited of MAMA & Company Limited Decision on relevant merger situation and substantial lessening of competition ME/6574/15 The CMA’s decision on reference under section 22(1) of the Enterprise Act 2002 given on 19 February 2016. Full text of the decision published on 7 April 2016. Please note that [] indicates figures or text which have been deleted or replaced in ranges at the request of the parties for reasons of commercial confidentiality. SUMMARY 1. LN-Gaiety Holdings Limited (LN-Gaiety) acquired MAMA & Company Limited (MAMA) on 6 August 2015 (the Merger). LN-Gaiety and MAMA are together referred to as the Parties. 2. The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) believes that it is or may be the case that the Parties’ enterprises have ceased to be distinct and that the share of supply test is met. The four-month period for a decision, as extended, has not yet expired. The CMA therefore believes that it is or may be the case that a relevant merger situation has been created. 3. The Parties overlap in the ownership and operation of indoor live entertainment venues in Birmingham, Manchester and London, and the ownership and operation of live music festivals in the UK. The CMA assessed the impact of the Merger in these product and geographic frames of reference. 4. The CMA also considered whether the Merger gave rise to vertical effects where the merged entity could increase the price it charges for venues to rival promoters, increasing their costs and making them less competitive; and/or whether the Merger gave rise to conglomerate effects where the merged entity could foreclose rivals through a tying or bundling strategy.

  • FM (British Band)
FM (British band) FM (referred to as FMUK in North America) are a British rock band. They have released nine studio albums to date. Three of those, Indiscreet, Tough It Out and 2015's Heroes and Villains reached the UK Albums Chart, whilst five of the band's singles made inroads into the UK Singles Chart. Career FM was formed in the summer of 1984 in London. Comprising the ex-Samson pair of bassist Merv Goldsworthy and drummer Pete Jupp, the Overland brothers – vocalist/guitarist Steve and lead guitarist Chris Overland (both formerly of Wildlife) and keyboardist Philip Manchester (also known as Didge Digital), the band initially wrote six songs which by December 1984 had helped them secure a recording contract with the CBS/Portrait label. That same month the band set off on tour in Germany with Meat Loaf. The first UK public appearance of FM (not to be confused with the Canadian band of the same name) was on Valentine’s Day in 1985 at London's legendary Marquee Club. The debut album, Indiscreet followed and their debut single "Frozen Heart" was heard in many venues during 1986. FM hit the road in Europe supporting Tina Turner, Foreigner, Gary Moore, Status Quo and Magnum, also opening for REO Speedwagon at London’s Hammersmith Odeon. At the year's end they accepted a spot with Bon Jovi on the UK leg of their Slippery When Wet Tour. When CBS folded the Portrait label, FM switched to Epic. The Overland brothers went to the United States to write with Desmond Child, returning with the hard rock anthem "Bad Luck".
