Integrated Media Production (IMPS) Theme visit to RTL, ENEX, BCE

10 & 11 february 2014 EBU, Geneva

PROGRAMME

3

Dear Colleagues,

RTL is the leading broadcaster on TV, Radio & the internet in . Bringing all three media into line, making staff work together, and using existing resources to be faster and more efficient has been high on the agenda for a few years. The next big step is the new building project and the changed paradigm to build a newsroom where information matters, regardless of the way it is broadcast.

During this visit, you will: - Understand how RTL Luxembourg has brought its TV, Radio and online news production together and how the move to a new building will provide new opportunities to put stories, rather than platforms, at the heart of the production process. - Discover the file-based news exchange network ENEX and how ENEX members share their resources and their daily news videos, including a special highlight on the RTL infonetwork. - Gain an understanding of Broadcast Center Europe and the synergies between RTL, ENEX & BCE.

Please also seize the opportunity to share your own experiences and challenges with our RTL hosts and other European colleagues and use what you have seen & learned to develop new ideas.
