Role Summary:

Reporting directly to the Director, Ticket Sales, the Manager, Ticket Sales is responsible for personal sales targets for groups and ticket sales packages, as well as the daily management of the sales team responsible for the Edmonton Oil Kings ticket packages. This role is also involved in the training and education of team members, and assists with the development and execution of ticket sales strategy.

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

• Daily management of the sales team responsible for Edmonton Oil Kings ticket package sales; involving season seat memberships and partial plans o Coordinate sales campaigns o Creating a comprehensive schedule for team members o Responsible for ongoing weekly meetings with team members to ensure that targets and responsibilities are being met o Training and education: responsible for ongoing training and education for team members in the areas of sales and customer service o Creating in-game sales plans for team members o Responsible for performance management of team members • Creating new sales opportunities o Responsible for generating new lead lists and opportunities for sales o Responsible for creating new seasonal ticket packages • Manage and create direct mail and email marketing including strategy, scheduling and execution

• Creation and implementation of hosting sales events • Attend onsite and offsite sales meetings with sales team member(s) to provide additional support and guidance • Responsible for meeting and exceeding personal sales target for season seat memberships, partial plans and group tickets • Manage premium suite rental program for the department • Oversee and assist sales game night activations • Assisting team members with group planning and activation • Oversee and Manage all sales plans to ensure proper strategy and execution of sales initiatives • Manage season plan with sales reps to ensure they are tracking, achieving and surpassing individual sales targets • Provide weekly updates to Director, Ticket Sales on topline issues related to sales

Education, Experience and Skills:

• Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in a related field is required. In lieu of formal education, extensive experience in a related field may be considered • 1-3 years of experience in: Experience as a leader/manager in a sales and sports and entertainment environment • Staff management in a fast paced, high volume environment • Some experience with ticketing programs (Archtics, CRM) • Experience in a high volume sports and entertainment venue • Demonstrated success in service providing, conflict resolution, and patience • Strong customer service skills and ability to ensure excellent customer care to both internal and external clients • Excellent written and oral communication skills in addition to presenting and training experience • High proficiency in Microsoft Suite of products (Outlook, Excel, OneNote, Word) • Strong analytical skills and ability to complete account reconciliations • Ability to deal with a variety of projects and workload in a fast-paced industry • Ability to see big picture and maintain OEG’s mission & values • Ability to work business hours in addition to: • 50+ evening and weekends (Oilers, Oil Kings, Shows, Events), including holidays • Vehicle access • Occasional travel is required
