THE GONDWANA CARE TRUST SUPPORTS THE FOLLOWING PROJECTS ACROSS : GONDWANA TRAVEL CENTRE

Bridge of Hope

The charity looks after 140 vulnerable children in , Windhoek providing food parcels and cooked meals.

Dagbreek School

This public school in Windhoek welcomes children with special needs. Gondwana also welcomes a group of learners free of charge at their lodges, every year.

DSW Primary School

This public school is situated in Windhoek and welcomes children from all over Namibia. The Gondwana Care Trust supports the school hostel with groceries and meat donations through the MealForTwo initiative.

Grace Project

This initiative supports 180 vulnerable families, especially pensioners, in , Windhoek with food parcels.

Hope Village

The Hope Village provides more than 80 orphans and abandoned children living with HIV and other debilitating illnesses in Katutura with a loving home and food.

Huis Maerua

Huis Maerua houses and feeds more than 20 children with socially unstable backgrounds.

Khomas Homeless Shelter & Development Trust

The shelter operates in Khomasdal and Katutura and looks after more than 80 homeless adults and children, providing homecooked meals daily.

Lidar Foundation

This organisation has about 350 beneficiaries (250 children and 100 adults). It provides food, youth empowerment and educational activities for orphaned and vulnerable girls in .

The Trust provides education, homework support as well as three meals a day to disadvantaged children in .

MountView Secondary School

This secondary public school in Khomasdal provides education to children who have not been able to get into other public schools. Most classes are held in tents.

Natascha Pre-Primary School & Day Care

The Kindergarten operates in , Windhoek and provides food and care to vulnerable children from the community.

PAY Center

The center operates in Katutura, Windhoek and provides nutrient meals and education as well as physical activity programmes daily to 120 children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Senior Park

This old age home in Pionierspark, Windhoek provides a safe environment for the low income older generation. MealForTwo donations go to 160 residents, who need food assistance, and to the old age home kitchen.

OKAHANDJA GONDWANA TRAVEL CENTRE Heal the Land | Khaibasen Community Centre | Light of Hop These three organisations in Okahandja are connected to a local church whose pastor is the project coordinator. He drives to Windhoek on a weekly basis to pick up all the goods and distribute them to the beneficiaries. The organisations provide cooked meals to vulnerable and homeless kids in Okahandja. They are also affiliated with the Nau Aib Old Age Home in Okahandja and deliver cooked meals to the elderly at the old age home.

KATIMA MULILO ZAMBEZI MUBALA LODGE Kalundu Pre-School (Katima) Pre-school in the rural outskirts of Katima. The only pre-school in this area that allows children to get school ready and allow the kids to stay with the parents instead of being sent away at an early age.meals to the elderly at the old age home. Sikunga Fish Guards The Fish Guards form part of the Fish Protection Project in the Sikunga Conservancy and play a crucial role in the protection of the fish stocks and the river systems within the Zambezi River. Preservation of the Carmine Bee-Eater colony.

Paukeni Kindergarten This pre-school is located on the outskirts of Rundu and welcomes children from the surrounding communities. This allows for the children to stay with their families, instead of being sent away at a young age. The Centre, based in Swakopmund is a private school that caters to special needs children and their learning challenges.

TSUMEB ETOSHA KING NEHALE MAD (Make a Difference Charity) This charity is based in Tsumeb and looks after 28 families on a regular basis, in support of disabled youth and elderly and visually impaired or sick elderly from the Kuvukiland settlement.

EPUPA/OPUWO AREA OMARUNGA EPUPA-FALLS CAMP

Proud Himba project The project was founded in 2007 to extend help to the school children of the area. It not only looks after 30 children on a regular basis but also assists schools and the orphan feeding program.

SWAKOPMUND | WALVIS BAY THE DELIGHT SWAKOPMUND

Mwadinomo Pre-School & Day Care Centre This crèche allows children to learn the basics before going to grade 1 and provides them with a meal. They are safe while the parents are at work. JJs Care Centre accommodates children with special needs. The centre is the only one on the coast to teach sign language and maintains a small hostel. Stepping Stone Specialised private school for children with various spectrum of autism and down syndrome. The school provides tuition from grade R to Matric with qualified tutors. Classes are small so the children get full attention from the tutors and assistants. C.H.A.I.N. Centre The Centre, based in Swakopmund is a private school that caters to special needs children and their learning challenges.

Witkrans Primary School The Care Trust supports 160 underprivileged school children from the Wirtkrans area with nutritious meals. KEETMANSHOOP CANYON LODGE, VILLAGE & ROADHOUSE

Dorcas Soup Kitchen The soup kitchen operates in Keetmanshoop. It provides nutritious meals daily to about 100 children and 20 adults from disadvantaged backgrounds. Elshaddai Caring and Feeding This organisation in Keetmanshoop provides 120 children and 30 adults coming from disadvantaged backgrounds with nutritious meals daily. Geduld Primary School and Immanuel Hostel The school is situated in Grünau and accommodates young learners in a hostel; the Gondwana Care Trust supports by delivering meat on a monthly basis. Grünau Primary School This public primary school in Grünau welcomes children from all over the Karas region. The Care Trust supports the school’s hostel. Karas Community The community sells handcrafted products to Gondwana.

Exercise book / set of pen & pencil with ruler, eraser and sharpener / 10 pages plastic folder / crayons or colouring pens and the plastic cover to put it all in.

BASIC HYGIENIC SET:

Soap / small Vaseline / toothpaste and toothbrush (all ages needed) / body cream / hand towel / washable hygienic pad if possible (cost N$ 120 @Ann Pads) / roll on for boys and girls… anything extra is a bonus

BASIC EXTRA/TOYS SET:

Small cars and figurines / small dolls / colouring books / reading books (all ages) / puzzles / educational toys all ages / crayons and clays…. Any small toys for boys and girls and teens… sweets if possible

BASIC FOOD SET:

Small bags for every items please so we can pack into the bag or with: pasta / rice / bully beef / oil / sugar / coffee or tea…. Cookies are a bonus and sweets

Bags will also be available for sale at the Gondwana House for N$ 200.00 and various Gondwana properties. Funds can be deposited into the Thank Gondwana Care You Trust bank account.
