MEI-LAN STARK, Senior Vice President, Intellectual Property Entertainment Group, US

In this role, Mei-lan heads the intellectual property legal group, which is responsible for all trademark, copyright, domain name and patent work for all of the Fox Entertainment Group entities worldwide, including Fox’s film banners (20th Century Fox, Fox Searchlight Pictures, Fox Animation, Blue Sky Animation and Fox 2000). Mei-lan’s group also supports the broadcast television network, FOX, the cable television networks, including FX, , , National Geographic Channel, as well as the international television businesses with channels such as , , VOYAGE and , the owned and operated television stations, and other Fox businesses such as SHINE. Prior to joining Fox, Mei-lan spent several years with working on intellectual property matters for several Disney divisions, including Feature Animation and Disney Consumer Products. Mei-lan began her career as an intellectual property attorney at Kilpatrick Stockton following her graduation from Yale Law School in 1994.

Mei-lan is presently serving as President on the INTA Board of Directors. She formerly served as President Elect, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary and as a Director of the INTA Board and as Vice Chair of the Programs Committee. She was the Chair of the 2008 INTA Advanced Trademark Symposium and was appointed by Anne Gundelfinger to serve on the INTA Task Force on Anti-IP Sentiment during Ms. Gundelfinger’s presidency. In addition to her INTA service, Mei-lan has served on the Board of Trustees of Whittier College, the Board of the Western Anti-Counterfeiting Coalition and the Board of The Los Angeles Center for Law & Justice, a legal aid group that provides pro bono services to the East Los Angeles Communities. Mei-lan has also been the Assistant Principal Cellist in the Los Angeles Lawyers Philharmonic.
