AUSTIN COUNTY THE LOCAL NEWS 2021 COLE McNANNA [email protected] In the May 1 general election, Austin County voters will determine winners in races for positions on such councils as Sealy City Council, Sealy ISD Board of Trustees, Wallis City Council and San Felipe City Council. The latter two municipalities will also determine a mayor. Early voting runs from April 19 to 27 and for this Austin County Election Guide, The Sealy News provided the same questions to each candidate with the same deadline to submit written answers. Some elected to also be interviewed on camera on The Sealy News’ Facebook page and all those who submitted written answers before the deadline were included in this section. No edits were made to the candidates’ written responses. Stay tuned to The Sealy News for election results online (SealyNews.com), on social media (@TheSealyNews) and in the print edition.
