While most automakers are content to play it safe when it comes to design, we looked elsewhere for inspiration: to an altitude of 12,000 feet, observing the wingsuits worn by extreme skydivers. By analyzing a sport that tests the limits of human exhilaration, our goal was to craft a vehicle that evoked the same.

The 2021 IS combines modern craftsmanship with exceptional comfort. While the reimagined interior is designed around the driver—with elements like a shift knob and steering wheel trimmed in hand-selected leather— it rewards every occupant with new Circuit Red or White seating options. Located where your hands naturally rest on the steering wheel, an available heating element continually monitors and adjusts the heating level to help maintain a set temperature. Further refining the driving experience, a dual-zone climate-control system features individual settings to allow the driver and front passenger to adjust their preferred temperatures.

Seating throughout the IS is as adaptable as it is striking. The low-set, eight-way power-adjustable front seats provide peak comfort while standard 60/40-split fold- down rear seats provide remarkable versatility.
