West Valley Light Opera Association belongs to the Theatre Bay Are Alliance (TBA) which is an association of 282 community theater and dance companies who promote and provide live stage entertainment in the Bay Area for the enjoyment of their audiences. We are completing our 34th season and have always depended greatly on local newspapers to pro- vide information to the readers regarding our publicity articles, photos, schedules of performance dates, ete. to attract loyal audiences to our musi- cal comedy season. We, at West Valley Light Opera Association, believe that community theater and all local arts playa vital role in the quality oflife in our commu- nity and deserve to receive the attention and support of the news media that serves your community. We also believe that the community does in- deed want information about performing arts events. We hope that you will find this production witty, full of blithe, good humor and great songs. Our final production of the season will be Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical, "Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". This is the first time that this composer's work has been presented in this theater. He is best remembered for such memorable hits as "Jesus Christ Superstar", "Evita", "Cats", "Phantom Of The Opera" & "Starlight Express". Plan to enjoy an explosion of color, comedy, music and fun that is popular with families of all ages. You're Invited! Whether you are already one of our 1,500 subscribers or here in the Saratoga Civic Theater for the first time, we invite you to join us this coming October for West Valley Light Opera's 35th season which will open with an American musical sensation, "The Phantom", followed by a musical comedy of the roaring 20's, "The Boy Friend" and will close with "The Will Rogers Follies", a Tony-award-winning musical about the life of the legendary American humorist with dazzling production numbers.
