TEXAS CONFERENCE the ECNL’S Texas Conference Is Comprised of Ten Member Clubs Across Texas and Oklahoma 2017-18 ECNL CONFERENCE PREVIEWS Established in 2009, the Elite Clubs National League has transformed youth female soccer over the past 8 years, and is the highest level of competition in the United States. With thousands of alumni current playing women’s college soccer, 90% of the league’s graduating classes moving on to college soccer every year, and stars dominating the best conferences in collegiate soccer, the ECNL is the proving ground and development platform for the future. In the 2017-18 season, the collegiate stars of the future will be competing in one of eight conferences across the United States. While the ECNL National Events Series is the primary destination for scouts and college coaches to recruit elite level players, and are some of the most exciting events in youth soccer, it is ECNL Conference competition that lies at the heart of the ECNL. Conference play is the primary method by which teams qualify for the ECNL Post Season, and conference games feature some of the most heated rivalries in youth soccer. With teams and players that know each other well, and compete against each other every year, winning an ECNL Conference Championship is a matter of huge pride for every player and member club. TEXAS CONFERENCE The ECNL’s Texas Conference is comprised of ten member clubs across Texas and Oklahoma. The conference begins competition in the fall season, when the majority of games are played, and concludes conference competition in the spring after the high school winter break. The 2017-18 ECNL Season marks the addition of two new member clubs in the Texas Conference: Classics Elite from San Antonio, and Sting Austin from the state’s capital. Classics Elite will add quality and a new geographic market into the ECNL, while Sting Austin looks to build on the incredible history of their sister club Sting Dallas – one of the very few clubs in league history to win multiple ECNL National Championships. “First, I would like to congratulate the National Champions out of the Texas Conference, FC Dallas ECNL U16 and Solar SC ECNL U14. It is a testament to the strength of the Texas Conference to have two teams win at the highest level. The camp is open to all players regardless of U.S. Soccer affiliation, or lack thereof, and is sanctioned as an Olympic Development Program by US Soccer and the United States Olympic Committee (USOC). The ECNL held the 2017 ECNL/id2 National Training Camp July 27-30, 2017 at the University of Portland in Portland, Oregon. Players were elected based on their performances at ECNL competitions, ECNL PDP events and other events throughout the year. The last Philadelphia team to do so was the Ukrainian Nationals in 1966. At PPL Park on Sept. 16 at 7:30 pm, the Philadelphia Union will look to restart that winning tradition. Before the US Open Cup Before the founding of the US Open Cup in the 1913–1914 season, the claim for a national soccer title was held by the American Cup competition, also known as the American Football Association Cup and the American Federation Cup. First organized by the American Football Association in 1885, the competition primarily featured teams from the early American soccer triangle of Northern New Jersey, Southern New York and lower New England. In 1897, the John A. Manz team became the first Philadelphia club to win the American Cup. Tacony won in 1910 with Philadelphia Hibernian losing in the final the following year. In 1914, Bethlehem Steel FC won the first of its six American Cup titles by beating Tacony, who had also lost to Northern New Jersey’s Paterson True Blues in the final the year before.

To develop well-balanced successful student athletes in a healthy, positive soccer environment. We will promote and develop excellence in club soccer based on the values of skill, sportsmanship, and character at all times. We will aim at providing the highest caliber coaching and training to our players so that they may maximize their athletic and personal potential. While we do emphasize the importance of winning soccer games, from a coaching stand point, the long term development of our soccer players takes priority. Our objectives are to create an atmosphere of both motivation and healthy competition where players are responsible for implementing the FCD WTX philosophy as to enable them to develop into not only high level soccer players but into positive students, citizens, and human beings as well. It is our belief that the experiences a player has with FCD WTX will prove beneficial throughout their lifetime. Overview This manual will explain all aspects of FCD WTX Youth Soccer including development philosophy, coaching methodology, uniform cost, fees, policies, and procedures.
