CITY OF JOHANNESBURG Councillor Mpho Moerane MMC: Environment and Infrastructure Services Media Statement 20 July 2020 EMERGENCY CLOSURE OF HURST HILL RESERVOIR 1 AND 2 There is a major burst water pipe on the bulk line from Stafford to Hurst Hill and Brixton reservoirs. The burst pipe is inside the Booysens Informal settlement, and unfortunately the team cannot do repairs as there are informal houses situated where the team needs to excavate to do repairs.
