L83/01 RENEWAL OF PUBLIC INDOOR ENTERTAINMENT LICENCE - STOKE VILLAGE HALL, HIGH STREET, STOKE GOLDINGTON The Committee considered an application for the renewal of the Annual Public Indoor Entertainment Licence for the Stoke Goldington Village Hall, High Street, Stoke Goldington, Milton Keynes. RESOLVED - That the application for the renewal of the Annual Public Indoor Entertainment Licence for the Stoke Goldington Village Hall, High Street, Stoke Goldington, Milton Keynes for Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 1:00 am the following morning, for Saturday 10:00 am to 11.45 pm and for Sunday 11:00 am to 11:00 pm, be granted.

RESOLVED - That the application for the renewal of the Annual Public Indoor Entertainment Licence for the Kingston Gym Centre, 15 Winchester Circle, Kingston, Milton Keynes for Monday to Sunday 9:00 am to 11:00 pm, be deferred until the April meeting of the Committee unless all of the outstanding works are completed. L88/01 VARIATION OF PUBLIC INDOOR ENTERTAINMENT LICENCE - ROLLERS, DENBIGH NORTH LEISURE, MILTON KEYNES The Committee considered an application for the variation of the Public Indoor Entertainment Licence for Rollers, Denbigh North Leisure, Milton Keynes RESOLVED - That the application for the variation of the Public Indoor Entertainments Licence for Rollers, Denbigh North Leisure, Milton Keynes for Saturday 7 April 2001 for 9:30 am to 6:00 am the following morning, be granted.

L89/01 REVIEW OF PUBLIC INDOOR ENTERTAINMENT LICENCE - THE NEW INN, The Committee noted that at its meeting of 13 December 2000 (Minute L63/01 refers), it had granted a Public Indoor Entertainment Licence for the New Inn, 2 Bradwell Road, New Bradwell, Milton Keynes for six months, subject to review after 3 months. The Committee received an oral report from the Chief Environmental Health Officer on the operation of the New Inn in relation to the Terms of the Licence. It was noted that the requested works had been completed at the premises, and that no further complaints had been received from neighbours.

L90/01 APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO KEEP A PET SHOP - RAPA LTD (TRADING AS AQUABABIES (UK)), AT SUNSET WALK, CENTRAL MILTON KEYNES SHOPPING CENTRE The Committee considered an application for a Licence to keep a Pet Shop for Rapa Ltd. (trading as Aquababies (UK)) at Sunset Walk, Central Milton Keynes Shopping Centre. The Committee noted that concern had been expressed by the Council’s Veterinary Surgeon over the proposed conditions in which the fish for sale would be kept. The Committee also noted the views of different representatives from the RSPCA, and that other Local Authorities had granted Pet Shop Licences for Aquababies (UK) in private shopping malls in the UK. (The Committee adjourned to receive legal advice during consideration of this Item) RESOLVED - That the application for a Licence to keep a Pet Shop for Rapa Ltd. (trading as Aquababies (UK)) at Sunset Walk, Central Milton Keynes Shopping Centre, be granted, subject to the following conditions:

(e) that the kiosk from which the product is sold is fitted with artificial lighting units, and will not be positioned where it could be affected by temperatures outside the range of 60-80 degrees (F)

L91/01 RENEWAL OF PET SHOP LICENCE - PANDORA’S PETS, 10 ST JOHN STREET, NEWPORT PAGNELL The Committee reconsidered the application for the renewal of the Licence to Keep a Pet Shop for Pandora’s Pets, 10 St. Johns Street, Newport Pagnell, Milton Keynes. The Committee noted that the planned programme of works necessary to comply with the Council’s Standard Licence Conditions, had not yet been completed. RESOLVED - That the application for a Licence to Keep a Pet Shop for Pandora’s Pets, 10 St. John’s Street, Newport Pagnell, Milton Keynes be refused.

L92/01 REVOCATION OF VARIATION TO STREET TRADING CONSENT - MR UGAR CANBULLA, BEST KEBABS, MASLIN DRIVE, BEANHILL, MILTON KEYNES The Committee considered a recommendation by the Chief Environmental Health Officer to revoke the Variation of a Street Trading Consent for Mr Ugur Canbulla, Best Kebab’s, Maslin Drive, Beanhill, Milton Keynes due to complaints from residents of the area. RESOLVED - 1. That the Variation of a Street Trading Consent for Mr Ugur Canbulla, Best Kebab’s, Maslin Drive, Beanhill, Milton Keynes for Monday to Sunday 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm, be revoked. 2. That a Variation of a Street Trading Consent for Mr Ugur Canbulla, Best Kebab’s, Maslin Drive, Beanhill, Milton Keynes for Monday to Sunday 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm and subject to no trading occurring within 75m of Simnel, be granted.

RESOLVED - That the application for a Variation of the Public Indoor Entertainment Licence for Empire Nightclub, Milton Keynes Leisure Plaza, 1 South Way, Milton Keynes for Friday 30 March 2001 9:00 pm to 6:00 am the following morning, for Sunday 15 April 9:00 pm to 4:00 am the following morning, for Sunday 6 May 9:00 pm to 4:00 am the following morning and for Sunday 27 May 9:00 pm to 4:00 am the following morning, be granted.
