LET US BE YOUR DESIGNATED DRIVER

Sit back and relax as you enjoy a tour of one of 's youngest wine regions.

Centered around the towns of , Young and Harden, Hilltops is a cool climate wine region. Best known for Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon and increasingly the Italian red varieties of Sangiovese and Nebbiolo. Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Riesling are also grown.

The region is also known for its high-quality red cherries, and the National Cherry Festival is held in December that has been running since 1949.

Both local boutique wineries and those from other regions have recognized the potential of Hilltops wine, and there are now more than six vineyards capitalizing on the climate and soils of the area.

On this wine tour, you can choose to visit at least three of the region’s most prestigious vineyards and cellar doors.

Whether it’s Freeman Vineyards at Image courtesy of Grove Estate Prunevale, Chalkers Crossing, Grove Estate and Ballinaclash at Young, or Trandari Wines at Murringo, all of these vineyards have received major awards and accolades.

Speak directly to the producers about the grapes they grow and the wine they produce. We work with each winery to cater for your specific interests. Meaning you will get the most out of each cellar door experience.

Sample some of the delights at their cellar doors in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. We can design a cheeseboard that will pair with the wines perfectly, or enjoy a hamper of tasty treats packed by The Sir George.

Tours will start and finish in and take around 5 to 6 hours to complete. (Depending on wineries chosen to visit).

Tours cost from $150 per person (includes mini-bus travel and picnic hamper. Wines, cheese platters and local produce purchased from cellar door at own expense).
