Summary The I-805 Managed/HOV lane project will offer a premium level of service to transit users, ridesharers, and paying solo commuters during rush hours. During the off-peak periods, the Managed/HOV lanes could be used to facilitate trucking and goods movement through the region.

Plans are in progress to create a BRT system that would operate in the Managed/HOV lanes, connecting South Bay and East County cities to major regional employment centers in and Sorrento Valley.
