KEYNOTE SPEAKER RICARDO AZZIZ, MD, MPH, MBA THURSDAY, 1:00 PM` HIRSUTISM, PCOS, AND THE ELECTROLOGIST Dr. Azziz is an internationally recognized physician, scientist, and executive who currently serves as Chief Officer, Academic Health & Hospital Affairs, at the State University of New York (SUNY), the largest university system in the nation. His biomedical research focuses on the study of reproductive endocrinology and androgen excess disorders. We are so please to have Dr. Azziz return to speak at our convention.

ASHLEY DeLEON, MD THURSDAY, 3:15 PM` GENDER AFFIRMATION SURGERY AND Dr. DeLeon attended medical school at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. Dr. DeLeon is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor for the medical students and a Clinical Assistant Professor for surgery residents at The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School. Dr. DeLeon is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and a member of the American College of Surgeons, Texas Medical Association, and the Travis County Medical Society. Dr. DeLeon takes a special interest in gender reassignment surgery.

JEAN OGREN, CPE SATURDAY, 9:00 AM & 2:15 PM` IS ELECTROLYSIS PERMANENT? & DOCUMENTATION = PUBLIC STANDARDS Jean will present two 1 hour lectures. The first will be Is Electrolysis Permanent? and the other Documentation = Public Standards. Jean is one of the first Board Certified Electrologists. She has 45 years of experience and retired in 2004. She is an Honorary Life Member of AEA and her state association. She held several offices in her state association including 3 times as President. She also designed a Protocol for AEA to submit to the FDA to prove electrolysis permanent and served as Chairman of their Equipment and Devices Committee for several years. She has done item writing for her state test and served as an Expert Witness for her state and for a private attorney. She has been a member of AEA since 1976.
