He studied piano and music theory with Asen Dimitrov, and later continued piano studies with Dimitar Nenov. He graduated from the Bulgarian Musical Academy where he was taught composition by Pancho Vladigerov, orchestration by by Vesselin Stoianov and piano by Panka Pelishek. His catalogue includes operas, ballets, symphonic, chamber, instrumental and vocal works. Among these are Piano Concertos Nos. 1 (1992) and 2 (1994), Violin Concerto No. 2 (1964). Stradivari Quartett
Stradivari Quartett Lo Stradivari Quartett ricerca, in ogni sua esecuzione, il miglior risultato possibile; il solo, nell’intento dei suoi musicisti, in grado di rendere omaggio al celeberrimo liutaio a cui s’ispira il nome del gruppo. Xiaoming Wang, il primo violino, suona uno Stradivari “Aurea” del 1715, Maia Weber un violoncello “Suggia” del 1717. Gli altri due strumenti in dotazione al gruppo sono un “Ex-Wannamaker Hart” di Giovanni Battista Guadagnini, datato 1767 e suonato da Sebastian Bohren, e una viola del 1690 proveniente dal laboratorio di Hendrick Willems e suonata da Lech Antonio Uszynski. Il suono di questi strumenti si combina alla perfezione per creare un risultato di armoniosa unicità. Dalla sua fondazione, nel 2007, lo Stradivari Quartett ha conquistato l’attenzione internazionale esibendosi in importanti sale da concerto in tutto il mondo, fra cui l’Elbphilharmonie di Amburgo, la Wigmore Hall di Londra, la Berlin Philharmonie, la Vienna Konzerthaus, il New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, la Kioi Hall di Tokyo, la Oriental Hall di Shanghai, il National Center for Performing Arts di Pechino e il Seoul Arts Center.
