CM Solar Agriculture feeder Scheme” dated 14 June 2017 envisages 1. Low cost Power to Agri-consumers 2. Availability of electricity in day time. 3. Reduction in cross subsidy on Industrial & Commercial consumers. • Mahagenco with the help of MSEDCL and MEDA to implement under PPP mode, on pilot basis at Ralegan Siddhi in Ahmednagar district and Kolambi at Yavatmal district in Maharashtra. • Project to be located on Govt./ Private land in the periphery of 5-10KM from 11KV to 132KV substations. Considering the load on AG feeders (Separated) the capacity of Solar power project will be finalized. • Exemption from all fees/charges/ cess levied by State Govt./ authority for the projects. Responsibilities of Utilities • MAHAGENCO : a. Mahagenco will develop the land and infrastructure. b. Mahagenco will sign tripartite PPA with the SPD and MSEDCL for 25 years. • MSEDCL : MSEDCL will provide evacuation facility. • MEDA: MEDA will register the project and provide VGF for the infrastructure. • SOLAR PROJECT DEVELOPER (SPD) : SPD will develop the project including O&M for the period of 25 years. Bidding process for Pilot Projects • NIT for Kolambi & Ralegan Siddhi for 2MW solar Ag project at site were published on 19.05.2017. • The RFP document for these bids were prepared on basis of REVA & BADALA solar park bids of SECI. • Bidder selected by Reverse bidding process with Rs. 3.00/kWh or the minimum tariff quoted by bidder whichever is lower, as the base price. Competitive Bidding • Competitive bidding for both tenders were carried out on 16.06.2017. • Price offered in reverse bidding For Ralegansiddhi is Rs. 2.94/KWH • Price offered in reverse bidding For Kolambi is Rs. 2.97/KWH Status of civil works Ralegan Sidhi Work Remarks Topographical survey Work completed Work completed soil investigation / exploration WBM Road Work in progress. PPA & Evacuation Arrangement • Petition for PPA & PSA is submitted in MERC on dtd. 27.11.2017 for all AG Feeder solar projects under “Mukhya Mantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana” including Ralegan siddhi & Kolambi. The hearing for this is on dtd. 02.01.2018 • Evacuation scheme is finalized by MSEDCL for both Ralegan Sidhi & Kolambi • All land details for phase-I, 200MW AG feeder solar power projects are submitted to MSEDCL for evacuation arrangement. • The letter regarding evacuation arrangement for SPP at Gavhankund is submitted to Director (Projects), MSEDCL on dtd. 16.12.2017 Evacuation Arrangement Status Ralegansiddhi: LoA issued by MSEDCL to M/s. Prabharanjan Electricals Ahmednagar in JV with Green Flame Pvt. Ltd. Pune on 26.12.2017.( Amount Rs. 32.27 Lakhs) Manjarda (Kolambi): 1. LoA issued by MSEDCL to M/s. Neha Electricals Nanded for Bay construction on 08.12.2017.( Amount Rs. 11.85 Lakhs) 2. LoA issued by MSEDCL to M/s. Star Electricals & Engg, Amravati for Line erection on 08.12.2017.( Amount Rs. 18.98 Lakhs) Gavhankund: Estimation is in progress by MSEDCL. Phase I (200 MW) Implementation Progress • “Bhoomipujan ceremony” for 20 MW AG Feeder cluster at Gavhankund Tal. Warud, Dist. Amravati is arranged on 24.12.2017. • The LoA is issued to M/s. Sangam Advisors Pvt. Ltd. On dtd. 14.11.2017. • The solar power from this project will be supplied to nearby 9 nos. of 33 kV & 11kV substations and 18896 farmers will be benefited from this project. • Approx. 3.33 Mus per year can be generated from this Solar project. • The expenditure for infrastructure development & evacuation arrangement is as around Rs. 2 Cr which will be done by MSPGCL & MEDA. • The project cost as around Rs. 80 Cr. will be done by developer. Land Acquisition Status 300 MW AG Feeder Projects (Phase-II): • Land acquisition process has started vide GR no. जमीन-2017/प्र.क्र.197/ज-1 dtd. 29.11.2017 • Letters to all district collectors are dispatched. • The submission of proposals for land acquisition are under process Registration of projects with MEDA: • The proposals for registration of the projects at Ralegansiddhi & Kolambi are submitted to MEDA along with requisite documents. • The proposals for registration of 200 MW AG feeder Solar Power Projects are submitted to MEDA along with available documents. However, the highlight of the month was the incredible energy and enthusiasm we witnessed around Women's day! Fellows across the board engaged in activities ranging from skill development and livelihood opportunities to improving health and sanitation levels to emphasizing the importance of more women participating in governance and democracy. It was only wise that on this occasion we also celebrated the work done by our amazing female CMRDFs, who, in their unique ways, are adding immense value towards the program. We had their stories shared in over 20 newspaper publications, which went on to inspire the masses and receive great applause all over. We are truly grateful to have them onboard! In 1975, Ralegan Siddhi was just another drought prone, poverty stricken village, but it has had much success in poverty reduction since then. Ralegan Siddhi's success is not just a story of change as a result of access to water. This paper provides evidence of the remarkable economic, social and community regeneration in Ralegan Siddhi, due to a strong, selfless, ethical and accountable leadership as well as its replication in Hivre Bazaar. Ralegan Siddhi and Hivre Bazaar are outstanding examples of holistic development and sustainable poverty reduction, with a large number of rural households successfully moving out of poverty without slipping back below the poverty line.

Patancheru 502 324, Andhra Pradesh, India: International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics. 40 pp. Abstract In recent years international agricultural research centers had to respond to changed mandates with a more explicit focus on poverty reduction and environmental sustainability from an earlier focus on improved agricultural productivity. Natural resource management (NRM) research has been an important area that has witnessed several institutional changes within the CGIAR system for the fulfillments of these goals. Most research centers have sought and promoted innovations through concepts such as participatory research, partnerships and alternatives to the transfer of technology approach. In this report we argue that while these changes have indeed contributed to a greater poverty focus of the CG centers, there is a greater need to understand the practice of science amongst these centers and the underlying institutional constraints that hinder or enhance learning in the proposed transition of these research centers into learning organizations. In this study the institutional history of a CG center has been used as a tool to promote institutional learning and change. It demonstrates that research managers in the CG system have not adequately accessed the institutional innovations of its own scientists in facilitating changes under newer mandates. By tracing the various ups and downs of ICRISAT’s thirty-year involvement in NRM research, this report points to the need for greater sensitivity in research design towards institutional constraints that prevent faster learning and the need for evolving mechanisms to enable real time learning in projects.

Since the year 2002 to this date work taken up are as follows: Provided drinking water through GFWSS Total habitations covered: 218 Total Panchyats covered: 131 Total mandals/Blocks covered: 66 Districts covered: 4 ( North coastal Districts of Ap, Tribal regions) House Holds Covered : 11971, Total population covered : 55321 Impact of this intervention is : 95% of the devices / units are working 100%, people are very happy in consuming safe drinking water.

In 1975, Ralegan Siddhi was just another drought prone, poverty stricken village, but it has had much success in poverty reduction since then. Ralegan Siddhi's success is not just a story of change as a result of access to water. This paper provides evidence of the remarkable economic, social and community regeneration in Ralegan Siddhi, due to a strong, selfless, ethical and accountable leadership as well as its replication in Hivre Bazaar. Ralegan Siddhi and Hivre Bazaar are outstanding examples of holistic development and sustainable poverty reduction, with a large number of rural households successfully moving out of poverty without slipping back below the poverty line. The dramatic transformation in these villages and the improvements in the quality of life of the entire village community need to be understood, analysed and replicated.
