December 28, 2020 Bloomfield, Iowa Courthouse Courtroom 8:30 A.M. The Davis County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Monday, December 28, 2020, with Chairman Ron Bride and Members Alan Yahnke and Matt Greiner present. Matt Greiner made motion, seconded by Alan Yahnke and carried unanimously, to approve the agenda. The Board met with custodian Randy Norman, who reported that he had replaced a heater motor last week, in the courthouse. He is preparing for a large snow/ice event as forecasted for this week. The Board met with Engineer Ryan Schock, who presented a listing of all bridges that have been either repaired or replaced, in the county this year. These had been previously closed or had the load limits decreased, by the Iowa Department of Transportation, until now. The Board discussed the possibility of an increase to the Employee Health Plan insurance premiums for the upcoming 2022 Fiscal Year. No action was taken. The Board reviewed the recommendation of the Compensation Board for employee salaries. Matt Greiner made motion to approve the recommendation of 3.5% for the elected officials and to reduce the recommendation by 25% for the Supervisors, resulting in an increase of 2.6%, seconded by Alan Yahnke and carried unanimously. Matt Greiner made motion, seconded by Alan Yahnke and carried unanimously, to approve a pay increase of 3.5% for the FY22 for the following employees: the County Engineer’s Assistant, the County Engineer’s secretary, the Assistant County Attorney and the County Attorney’s secretary. All Board members reported that they had no committee meetings to attend during the holiday time period.
