BEGINNER’S GUIDE TO SMART PHONE USE -- APPS AND SOCIAL MEDIA John Wargo Fall 2020 Module 1 – CLASS INTRO and BASIC PHONE SECURITY www.linkedin.com/in/johnwargo1 [email protected] OUR CLASS “CONTRACT” By taking this class I acknowledge and accept that I may get frustrated at some point during the 4 week class sessions. I also understand that the instructor will provide various reference material, and will setup selected WhatsApp group help sessions as needed outside of the normal scheduled class time. MY BACKGROUND ON LINKEDIN SOME CLASS CONSIDERATIONS 1. The best way to teach/learn this material is in a small group, face to face classroom environment with Wi-Fi access, interactive dialogue and real one-on- one help in a workshop type environment. 2. A ZOOM delivery method with a large number of students and no ability to interactively ask questions and clarifications is definitely less than ideal; you may not be able to follow along with all the material as it is presented. 3. The presentation material for the PowerPoint reference guide was developed using hundreds of screenshots that were captured on an Android Samsung S9 smartphone. If you use an iPhone or a different version of an Android phone many of these screenshot views will look different on your phone. 4. You may not be interested in all the specific apps that are covered in this class. SO, HERE WE GO !!
