GOVERNMENT OF TELANGANA TTWREIS and TSWREIS, Hyderabad ENTRANCE TEST FOR ADMISSION INTO 6th CLASS AT TSWR SAINIK SCHOOL, RUKMAPUR, KARIMNAGAR DISTRICT AND TTWR SAINIK SCHOOL, ASHOKNAGAR, WARANGAL FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2021-22 *PROSPECTUS* Applications are invited online for admission into Class 6 at Telangana Social Welfare Residential Sainik School, Rukmapur, Karimnagar District and Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Sainik School, Ashoknagar, Warangal for the academic year 2021-22. As the TSWR Sainik School, Rukmapur, Karimnagar District and TTWR Sainik School Ashoknagar, Warangal are the specialized institutions and first of its kind in the education sector of the Telangana state, candidates from all over the Telangana state can apply for admissions. ADMISSION DETAILS: Admissions are provided in Class 6 for the academic year 2021-22. The 80 vacancies, available in Class 6 will be filled through three types of screening tests, mentioned below, for securing admissions. A) A written exam on academic subjects of class 5. B) Physical Fitness Tests. C) Medical Test for Medical Fitness. The Secretary, TSWREIS and TTWREIS are competent authority to modify the above no of seats, subject to availability of merit post the entrance test. ELIGIBILITY: The students (only Boys) who appeared/passed for class 5 examination from any recognised school for the academic year 2020-21 are eligible to write the entrance test and appear in Physical and Medical Screening. The annual income of the parent should not exceed Rs.2,00,000/- per annum (for Urban students) and Rs.1,50,000/- (for Rural students) as certified by the Tehsildar. The students from Telugu / English medium are eligible for this entrance test. The age of the students of all communities (SC,SC – CC, ST, BC, Min, OC/EBC) shall not exceed 11 years as on 31.08.2021, i.e they should be born on or after 31.08.2010. Before filling the application through online the candidate has to read the information / prospectus already uploaded in the website www.tswreis.in or https://tgtwgurukulam.telangana.gov.in/ [*ADVICE: They can prepare a hard copy first and then fill online to avoid mistakes]. Candidates should upload their passport size photo and signature in *.jpg or *.jpeg formats within size of 100 kb. AGE HEIGHT WEIGHT 10 yrs 123 cm 23 kg 11 yrs 127 cm 24 kg 12 yrs 131 cm 26 kg Relaxation of 2.0 cm in height and up to 1.5 kg in weight would be given. 1. Chronic Diseases and Physical Fitness: (a) A candidate should have no past history of mental breakdown or fits. (b) The hearing should be normal. A candidate should be able to hear a forced whisper with each ear at a distance of 610 cm in a quiet room. There should be no evidence of present or past disease of the ear, nose and throat. Audiometric test will be done for AF. Audiometric hearing loss should not be greater than 20 db in frequencies between 250 and 8000 Hz. There is no impediment of speech. (c) There should be no signs of functional or organic disease of the heart and blood vessels. Blood pressure should be normal. (d) There should be no enlargement of liver or spleen. Any evidence of disease of internal organs of the abdomen will be a cause for rejection. (e) Un-operated hernias will make a candidate unfit. In case of Hernia which has been operated, a minimum of one year must have passed prior to final medical examination before commencement of the course. (f) There should be no hydrocele, varicocele or piles. (g) Urine examination will be done and any abnormality if detected will be a cause for rejection. (h) Any disease of skin which is likely to cause disability or disfigurement will also be a cause for rejection. (i) The candidates should have enough natural and sound teeth. A minimum of 14 dental points will be acceptable. When 32 teeth are present, the total dental points are 22. A candidate should not be suffering from severe pyorrhoea. (j) Distance Vision (Corrected): Better Eye 6/6; Worse Eye 6/9. Myopia should not be more than -2.5D including astigmatism and manifest hypermetropia not more than +3.5D including Astigmatism. Internal examination of the eye will be done by means of ophthalmoscope to rule out any disease of the eye. A candidate must have good binocular vision. The Colour vision standard will be CP-III (Defective Safe). Candidates should be able to recognize white, signal red and signal green colours correctly as shown by Martin’s Lantern at a distance of 1.5 metre or read the requisite plate of Ishihara Book / Tokyo Medical College Book. Candidates who have undergone or have evidence for having undergone Radial Keratotomy, to improve the visual acuity will be permanently rejected for all the services. Candidates who have undergone Laser Surgery for correction of refractive error are also not acceptable to defence services. NOTE: Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearm i.e. from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm/back (dorsal) side of hand/Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body are not acceptable and candidates will be barred from further selection. Tribes with tattoo marks on the face or body as per their existing custom and traditions will be permitted on a case to case basis. (l) Physical conditioning : Prospective candidates are advised to keep themselves in good physical condition, by following the under mentioned routine :— (a) Running 2.4 km in 15 minutes (b) Skipping (c) Push ups and sit ups (minimum 20 each) (d) Chin ups (minimum 08) (e) Rope climbing 3-4 metres. 2. Physical Conditioning: Prospective candidates are advised to keep themselves in good physical condition, by following the under mentioned Routine: For 6th Class: (a) Shuttle Run : 6 meters (i) Five times : 10 points (ii) Four times : 8 points (iii) Three times : 6 points (iv) Two times : 4 points (b) 100 metres sprint : 19 seconds– 10 points 19.5 seconds–9 points 20seconds– 8 points 20.5 seconds – 7 points and so on (c) Horizontal Jump : 160 cm - 10 points 150 cm - 8 points 140 cm - 6 points (d) Jump and Touch : 25 cm - 10 points 22 cm - 8 points 19 cm - 6 points 16 cm - 4 points (e) Touching Toes : 5 times - 10 points 4 times - 8 points 3 times - 6 points 2 times - 4 points Final Selection of Students: The 80 students who are selected in Physical Fitness Test amongst the 1:3 ratio meritorious students from Entrance Test for 6th class will be given admission into 6th class.
