The Joni Bescos Trophy Awarded by the Coronet Club Presented by Coronet Club President Janell Lind

Each year, the Coronet Club presents a traveling trophy to the new champion quartet. The current trophy is named in memory of Joni Bescos, recipient of Sweet Adelines International’s second President’s Lifetime Achievement Award (1999). A Master Arranger, Joni has hundreds of arrangements to her credit and was instrumental in developing educational tools for arrangers. In February of 2009, Sweet Adelines International lost an icon. Joni was an international champion, a member of the International Judging Program, certified in three categories and served as a chorus director.

ASCAP Quartet Trophy The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) is a voluntary, nonprofit association that acts as a clearinghouse for performing rights licensing. Since 1962, ASCAP has honored our organization by presenting individual trophies to the members of the International Champion Quartet.
