The Moosomin Generals girls football team hosted the York- ton Lady Gridders for a game on Friday, September 25. It was the Generals’ second game of the season and they fell 41-26 to the Gridders in a well-fought battle that saw some big plays on be- half of the Yorkton team that re- sulted in some touchdowns that kept the momentum going in Yor- kton’s favor. The Generals are part of a new league that is being formed—the Prairie Girls Football League. The team includes Moosomin, York- ton, the Regina Victorias, the Es- tevan Viragos, and the Melville Vipers. All teams are competing in fall football this season. The Generals played their first game of the season in Estevan, winning 56-0 in what was Este- van’s first ever girls game.
