Strengths: The Department has wide network with its alumni who are employed in various fields in India and abroad. Overseas students are enrolled for one semester to study Indian History and Culture. Books are published to provide curricular support for school education.

Opportunities: It has got potentiality to obtain UGC-SAP as it is being one of the oldest and strongest departments of Indian History.
