WEATHER AND ASSOCIATED SYNOPTIC FEATURES :

Last week’s, North South trough ran from North Interior Karnataka to the above cyclonic circulation over south Tamil Nadu at 1.5 km above mean sea level. It then ran from south Madhya Maharashtra to South Tamil Nadu at 0.9 km above mean sea level on 22 nd April. It then again ran from the above cyclonic circulation over Marathawada to south coastal Tamil Nadu across Interior Karnataka extended upto 1.5 km above mean sea level on 23 rd April. It ran from Marathawada to south coastal Tamil Nadu across North Interior Karnataka, Telangana and Rayalaseema at 0.9 km above mean sea level on 24 th April. It persisted and extended upto 0.9 km above mean sea level on 25 th April. It ran from eastern parts of Bihar to south Tamil Nadu across Jharkhand, interior Odisha, Vidarbha, Telangana and Rayalaseema and extends upto 0.9 km above mean sea level on 26 th April.

A cyclonic circulation laid over north Gujarat & neighborhood at 0.9 km above mean sea level on 26 th April. It became less marked on 27 th April.

A North South trough ran from North Interior Karnataka to Comorin area across interior Kerala at 0.9 km above mean sea level on 27 th April. It then ran from North Interior Karnataka to south Kerala across South Interior Karnataka at 0.9 km above mean sea level on 28 th April.

44° C recorded at BRAHMPURI on 28th April was the highest Maximum temperature in the state during the week.
