‘BEST CHRISTMAS PARTY EVER’ PRODUCTION BIOS LEWIS CHESLER (Executive Producer) – Lewis Chesler is one of the first producers of material for the alternative television market and since has produced TV shows that stretch the boundaries of the medium beyond the conventional programming of the standard broadcasters. In a field where innovation is often discouraged, Chesler has nonetheless managed extraordinary success. He is now known for Independent features, art action pieces and award winning action adventure pieces for the family. A native of Cleveland, Chesler attended Amherst College, studying cultural history and graduating with highest honors after writing his thesis on television’s impact on political consciousness in the mass society. He worked his way through college, spending summers in the Cleveland steel mills and his winter vacations working on merchant vessels, traveling around the world. Following college, he joined the Peace Corps. In the mid-70’s, Chesler became artistic director of the Long Beach Performing Arts Centre. He produced a series of plays there, starring, among others, Stockard Channing, Jill Clayburgh, Stacey Keach, James Whitmore and Eddie Albert. He also booked the opera house, the sports arena, two theaters and the rock concert forum. He started his television career with a series of variety shows and “The Hitchhiker” series for HBO. Chesler conceived the show, its style, look and direction and brought together the main creative elements, including Academy Award®-nominated writers and actors and internationally prominent directors. One of the most enduring aspects of Chesler’s efforts during “The Hitchhiker” was the encouragement of industry acceptance of cable programming as a venue to showcase top film directors and actors such as Paul Verhoeven, Phillip Noyce, Wayne Wang, Willem Dafoe, Klaus Kinski, Kirstie Alley and Helen Hunt.

  • Children's Past Life Memories and Healing
View metadata, citation and similar papers at core.ac.uk brought to you by CORE provided by Subtle Energies & Energy Medicine Journal Archives (E-Journal) Community Address CHILDREN’S PAST LIFE MEMORIES AND HEALING by Carol Bowman ABSTRACT Young children all over the world have spontaneous memories of previous lives, regardless of the religious beliefs of the parents. It’s a natural phenomenon. Children usually begin speaking of “when they were big before” or “when they died” around the age of three, and may speak of their memories for a period of a few years. Many of the memories children recall are of traumatic deaths, which may continue to affect a child in their present life as phobias and other emotional problems. By combining what I’ve learned from collecting my own cases of children’s past life memories for more than twenty years, and from the large body of research of spontaneous past life memories from Dr. Ian Stevenson, with the healing model of past life therapy with adults, I derive a method of healing traumatic past life memories as they emerge spontaneously in early childhood. By studying the cases of children who speak with conviction of their other lives, we also observe that many aspects of the child’s present personality have carried forward intact from the past life: behaviors, emotions, phobias, talents, knowledge, the quality of relationships, and even physical symptoms. The fact that these personality traits carry forward suggests a new way of looking at personality formation and a theory of personality that spans lifetimes. The children’s cases also add an important piece to the metaphysical discussion of the survival of consciousness after death, because it is clear from the cases that some form of personal consciousness continues from one life to another.

FinalProject 25/08/2018, 930 PM COGS108 Final Project Group Members: Yanyi Wang Ziwen Zeng Lingfei Lu Yuhan Wang Yuqing Deng Introduction and Background Movie revenue is one of the most important measure of good and bad movies. Revenue is also the most important and intuitionistic feedback to producers, directors and actors. Therefore it is worth for us to put effort on analyzing what factors correlate to revenue, so that producers, directors and actors know how to get higher revenue on next movie by focusing on most correlated factors. Our project focuses on anaylzing all kinds of factors that correlated to revenue, for example, genres, elements in the movie, popularity, release month, runtime, vote average, vote count on website and cast etc. After analysis, we can clearly know what are the crucial factors to a movie's revenue and our analysis can be used as a guide for people shooting movies who want to earn higher renveue for their next movie. They can focus on those most correlated factors, for example, shooting specific genre and hire some actors who have higher average revenue. Reasrch Question: Various factors blend together to create a high revenue for movie, but what are the most important aspect contribute to higher revenue? • Nostradamus the 21St Century and Beyond
Nostradamus The 21st Century and Beyond The present — which is still unfolding, is cloudy because we’re too close to that forest to see the trees as they emerge from the mists of time. But the thing all of us are most intrigued by is this: What does Nostradamus tell us about our own future —which, after all, is where we’ll be spending all our time? Is it to be all doom and gloom as some read into Nostradamus? Or were those frightening scenarios merely reflections of the prophet’s own gloomy character and the superstitious, medieval mind-set that produced him? Page 1 of 31 Nostradamus The 21st Century and Beyond Any discussion of Nostradamus’ predictions about our future has to deal to some extent with what appear to be doomsday forecasts and the coming of the third Antichrist. That is too much a part of the Nostradamus saga. But only a part. He also had a lot to say about the glorious, golden days that lie before us. However, the one prediction that preoccupies most Nostradamus scholars to the point of obsession — and chills some to the bone — is the one he recorded in CX Q72 which reads: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ “In the year 1999, and seven months from the sky will come the great King of Terror. He will bring to life the great King of the Mongols. Before and after war reigns happily.” ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Most experts have interpreted this famous quatrain as the prophet’s vision of an Antichrist. If Napoleon was the first and Hitler the second, the big questions obviously are: Who’s the third Antichrist? Is he/she/it among us today? Or still decades, even centuries, in the future? According to Christian legend, the Antichrist is a person or power that will come to corrupt the world but will then be conquered by Christ’s Second Coming.

Tucker, Stevenson, Weiss, and Life: Renditions of the Transcendent View From Past- Life Memories John C. Gibbs, PhD The Ohio State University ABSTRACT: The work of researcher Jim Tucker and regression therapist Brian Weiss on past-life memories suggests a transcendent or non- reductionist view of human life. In this view, mental life or consciousness does not entirely re- duce to the neural activity of the brain, and bodily death involves a return to a nonphysical realm. This view is also suggested from other phenomena such as near- death experiences. The transcendent view from past- life memories entails two renditions. One rendition derives from Tucker’s—and late senior colleague Ian Stevenson’s—empirical verifications of children’s past- life claims. Weiss’s psychotherapy- based rendition is more impressionistic and subject to the vul- nerabilities of the hypnotic method—as noted by both Tucker and Stevenson. Both renditions must contend with the theodicic problem (intensely rendered by Harold Kushner). Many questions remain. Nonetheless, Tucker’s, Stevenson’s, Weiss’s, and other authors’ related work may suffice to support a transcendent understanding of human life. KEY WORDS: past- life memories; Jim Tucker; Ian Stevenson; Brian Weiss; regression therapy; near-death experiences What happens when a person dies? Physiologically, one’s heart stops beating, one stops breathing, and one’s eyes dilate and fix as brain function is lost (Parnia, 2006). Poetically, one’s breath becomes air (Kalanithi, 2016). “The living gaze—even if the person in question was very old and that gaze was vague and flickering—goes flat” (Alex- ander, 2014, p.
