St. Vital Curling Club Operations The St. Vital Curling Club operations are managed by a volunteer board. As such, board representatives are doing their very best to provide for your curling experience, but should anyone have a concern or complaint, they are asked to approach any member of the board for appropriate action. Any member wishing to participate in club operations is encouraged to contact the current President, Ken Stevens. You are encouraged to support our food services and lounge as much as possible, as these services are a necessary part of keeping our club viable. The St. Vital Curling Club encourages all members to enjoy the club facilities responsibly. St. Vital website St. Vital Curling Club hosts a website at stvitalcurling.ca As part of the club’s “Sky Blue” initiative to reduce waste, the club is attempting to move as many operations as possible to this vehicle. As such, members are asked to consult the website for various league information and news, and to use the website to answer questions and concerns. As much as possible, club communication will be via the website or email. Members are also asked to provide missing personal information, as it pertains to club membership, through the website, to help the club manage its obligations to members and CurlManitoba.     2021 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2021 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship (CMDCC) qualification process has been modified. The 2021 CMDCC will be a thirty-five (35) team event with five (5) pools of seven (7) teams competing in individual round robins. Following these five round robins, twelve (12) teams will then advance to the playoff round. The championship team will advance to the 2021 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship, at a date and place TBD. The 35 team Championship field was determined as follows: • 14 teams as selected by their respective Provincial or Territory Associations. • 14 teams from the CMDR based on points accumulated from March 15, 2019 to March 15, 2020. 1 Teams must have played in a minimum of two mixed doubles events during this time frame.
