The existing road between NFC X roads to IOCl- is a Double lane BT road of 8.6 km length and 7.0 mts width which connects IDA - road in km 5/0-2 at Mallapur and National Highway (i.e NH-163) at passing through FCI Godowns, IOCl,BPCl Terminals of Chrerlapally industrial area ,Chengicherla village and RTC colony of Medipally village.

The stretch consists of many Fuel storage terminals like IOCl, BPCl, HPCl and Industrial Units. The existing narrow BT carriageway is not sufficient to cater many folds increased heavy vehicular traffic plying on this road, as a result many accidents are taking place. Considering the importance of the above road the government of state have accorded sanction vide G.O.Rt.No.87 , Dated :31-01-2018 for widening of the existing 2- lane BT Carriage to 6- lane BT Carriage way with CRS central median. The road length of 865.42m is passing through Chengicherla RF and Medipally-II RF. There are no other alternative roads to connect the villages like Chengicherla, industrial area"Mallapur and Medipally Junction. This road will provide good connectivity between the villages and prevent the accidents after completion of widening of the road.

Detailed Note on the Project

The road from NFC X roads to IOCL-Chengicherla up to RTC Zonal Depot is an double lane BT road which connects IDA-Nacharam im km 5/0-2 at Mallapur and joins with National Highway (i.e NH-163) at Medipally . The existing BT road from % to 8/6 is 2-Lane BT carriage way, now it is sanctioned for widening to 6- Lane BT carriage way.

Chengicherla up to RTC:: zonal depot is not adequate to cater the many fold~ increased vehicular traffic and causing much inconvenience to the commuters travelling on this road. The oil & Gas tankers pertains to IOCL,BPCL and HPCL fuel terminals are plying on this road. This stretch is predominantly known to all because of its fuel filling terminals and Industrial units. Widening and improvement of this road from NFC X roads to IOCL-Chengicherla upto RTC zonal depot would improve connectivity in terms of achieving smooth and safe traffic flow and improve level of service. In addition to above, substantial economic gain in terms of reduced vehicle operating (VOC) and reduced travel time will be achieved.

The Government of Telangana has accorded the administrative sanction for widening and strengthening of NFC X roads to IOCL-Chengicherla upto RTC zonal depot road from two lane to six lane from Km % to 8/6.

On this road, there is a 524.24m length of stretch is falls in chengicherla reserve forest and 341.18m length of stretch is falls in Medipally -/I reserve forest of Medipally Mandai and the remaining stretches from km % to 4/120 ,4/644.24 to 7/900 and km 8/241.18 to 8/6 are having sufficient ROW for widening of the road. Total ROW of 30.00 Mtrs is required for widening of the road including BT carriage way and central Median and Berms on either side. Hence, we seek permission for a length of 865.42mts to a width of 30 mts and required area for diversion is 2.5962 Ha .
