Volume 19, Number 2 www.fairfaxdemocrats.org February 2010 Report from Congressman Congratulations to Dave Marsden on his election to the State Senate. Dave Marsden and his campaign team ran an excellent campaign and proved to voters in the 37th Senate District that quality candidates and quality campaigns do matter. This is a huge victory for Northern Vir- ginia Democrats and it sends a strong signal that voters in our region will continue to support pragmatic, results-oriented lead- ers with a record of reaching across party lines to get things done for Northern Vir- ginia. Dave Marsden is exactly that kind of leader. For years, the 37th district has been a Republican seat, recently occupied by far-right ideologue Ken Cuccinelli. Last night, we changed all that. We protected our Democratic majority in the state senate and now find that every state senator from tors, the DPVA, the state senate Democratic Together, we proved that quality can- Fairfax is a Democrat.
