Friday, March 21 No. 3 Huskies Head To Sacramento To No. 3 Washington vs. Sacramento State Play In The Capital Classic Sacramento, Calif., 12:30 p.m. THIS WEEKEND: The No. 3-ranked Washington softball team (26-2-1) makes its seventh consecutive road trip this weekend when it heads to Sacramento, Calif., to play in the Capital Classic. The tournament, No. 3 Washington vs. Illinois hosted by Sacramento State, will be held March 20-23 at the Sacramento Softball Complex and will include Sacramento, Calif., 11 teams in a round robin format. The winner will be declared on the final day of competition based on 3 p.m. record. The Huskies have a total of five tournament games on tap, including Sacramento State, Illinois, Saturday, March 22 Morehead State, Utah and Iowa. UW will also play a game versus Long Island on Sunday at the Sacramento No. 3 Washington vs. Morehead State Softball Complex, which will not count towards the tournament standings.
