The Huskies are making their ninth trip to the Women's College World Series and their second in 4/11 @ #7/9 UCLA* L, 10-0 (5) the last three years after sweeping the Atlanta Super Regional over No. 14 Georgia Tech last weekend. NCAA SUPER REGIONALS - Atlanta, Ga. 5/23 #14/17 Georgia Tech W, 7-1 A LONG, STRANGE TRIP 5/24 #14/17 Georgia Tech W, 7-0 The Huskies are at stage three of their whirlwind around-the-country road trip as they left Seattle on May 13 WOMEN’S COLLEGE WORLD SERIES - Oklahoma City, Okla. bound for Amherst, Mass., and have been on the road since. The Huskies will have logged a total of 6,899 miles 5/28 #6 Georgia 10 a.m. PT by the time they return to Seattle, whenever that may be. The journey started with a 2,963-mile trip from Seattle * indicates Pac-10 Conference game. to Massachusetts for the NCAA Regionals, followed by a 1,087-mile trip to Atlanta for the NCAA Super Regionals. They will log 848 miles from Atlanta to Oklahoma City and another 2,001 back to Seattle where Husky softball players will be greeted with fi nals week. Florida, Alabama, Michigan and Arizona State each hosted both Regionals and Super SCHEDULE OF EVENTS Regionals while Missouri hosted the Regionals before traveling to UCLA for Supers and Georgia traveled to North Carolina for Regionals but hosted the second round. Arizona had to travel to Louisville for their Regional round before making the short trip to California to face Stanford in Palo Alto. Tuesday, May 26 UW was able to escape from a diffi cult regional in Amherst, Mass., where they had to overcome a tough UMass Party at the Park - ASA HOF Stadium team on their home fi led, which featured three-time All-American pitcher Brandice Balschmiter. UW beat FREE LEADOFF EVENT FOR THE WCWS the Minutewomen twice in three games, including a deciding 6-1 win in 15 innings in which Danielle Lawrie struck out 24. The Huskies had an easier time in their Super Regional match-up in Atlanta with Georgia Tech, Thursday, May 28 sweeping the Yellow Jackets in two games by scores of 7-0 and 7-1.
