Lettering Metallic Ink on Black Paper By Kelsey Seufer
Don’t think too much, just do what makes you happy.
Materials you need: * Zebra Metallic Brush Pens * Zebra Mechanical Pencil 0.5mm * Zebra Sarasa Clip Milky Gel Pens * Black card stock * Ruler * Optional - Apple iPad Pro 11” and Apple Pencil, Procreate Drawing App Step 1 Step 2 Gather supplies and sketch out your design. Sketch out design with Zebra You can use paper and pencil or iPad for digital drawing. In this Mechanical Pencil .5mm design, I created a contrast between a hand written calligraphy and big bold letter outline. I plan to fill the bold letters with line florals. Use ruler and pencil to sketch your design out on the paper. Draw faux calligraphy to make sure that you have enough room for all your letters.
Optional: You can sketch all of the florals out inside all the block letters.
Step 3 Step 4 Write your words with Zebra Metallic Brush Pens. Draw florals with Zebra Sarasa Clip Milky Gel Pens. Chose as many colors as you’d like. Recommend choosing 3 or 4 Choose as many colors as you want to use in your florals. In this colors in total. This technique involves switching the color for every example, I chose the same three tones to match the brush pen stroke. Where ever you would naturally pick up the pen is when you lettering. Recommend using a color that is distinctively dierent than the florals to really make them pop.
Step 6 Erase pencil marks, be careful erasing around the metallic brush pen ink. You can always fix it though! ;) Touch up using metallic brush pen or gel pens to clean up any spots that need that extra detail.
