Kennedy wrote in a speech he prepared to deliver in Dallas, Texas, in November 1963, “Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other. The advancement of learning depends on community leadership for financial and political support and the products of that learning, in turn, are essential to the leadership’s hopes for continued progress and prosperity.” At UNG, learning and leadership are truly entwined in our mission to prepare students to be regionally and globally competitive. Bonita C. Jacobs, Ph.D. Our educational initiatives – a new campus in Blue Ridge, new and President expanded programs in high-demand fields, and dramatically increased enrollment in dual-enrollment and online learning opportunities – help students complete college, respond to workforce needs, and support economic development efforts across our region.
