Legally Blonde Reese Witherspoon starred in the 2001 film, which was turned into a popular Broadway musical in 2007. Just be- fore graduating from UCLA, sorority president Elle Woods gets dumped by her boyfriend, so she decides to follow him to Harvard Law School to win him back. Once there, she discovers how her knowledge of the law can help others. When nobody has faith in Elle, she defies expectations to win a case, while still staying true to her- self. Filled with delightful song-and-dance numbers, this high-energy musical is directed by Tim Connors. November 14, 15 & 16.

Holiday Pageant Experience a joyous celebration of the holiday season when the best in FHS choir, orchestra, and drama perform sacred and secular mu- sic, illustrated by impressive tableaus. Hundreds of FHS students participate in this glorious tradition. Olive Peterson directs the orchestra, and Dan Wessler and Derek Simons direct the choirs. December 8.

Christmas Memories Start your Christmas season with delightful holiday stories and songs performed by FSD145 staff and their families. Freeport natives Gary Brubaker and Matt Bruehler provide original music and skits for this year’s show. You’ll see brand new stories, as well as some Christmas Memories favorites. The music and merriment bring holiday cheer to adults and children. Performances are in the FHS Studio Theatre (room 228). Please bring a food donation for FACC. Please park in the west lot. December 12, 13 & 14.

Art to Art FHS students direct and perform in three one-act plays, pre- sented in the FHS Studio Theatre. Seniors will direct his year’s plays, featuring their fellow students. We’re proud to be one of the few Illinois high schools to give students this valuable opportunity. All proceeds support FHS Theatre Scholarships. Please park in the west lot. March 11, 13 & 14.

Showtime 40 You’re sure to enjoy the entertaining med- leys, humorous skits, and featured melodies in this song and dance extravaganza. If you’re a fan of big bands or show choirs, you won’t want to miss it! Come see our talented teen- Showtime agers bring the crowd to its feet. Dan Wessler and Derek Si- mons direct the show choir. Bill Petersen directs the Jazz En- semble. Season ticket holders may purchase tickets on Satur- 40 Logo day, March 9. April 3, 4, 5, 9, 10 & 11.

Moon Over Buffalo Carol Burnett received a Tony Award nomination for her hilarious performance when Moon Over Buffalo opened on Broadway in 1995. This madcap comedy centers on George and Charlotte Hay, two fading stars of the 1950’s. On the brink of a disastrous divorce caused by George’s dalliance with a young ingénue, they find out that they have one last shot at stardom when Frank Capra comes to see their matinee. Of course, everything that could go wrong does go wrong. USA Today reports, “Moon Over Buffalo packs more comic genius onto the stage than anything in recent memory!” Directed by Tim Connors. May 7, 8 & 9.

All evening shows begin at 7 p.m. this year. Matinees of Legally Blonde and Showtime 40 begin at 2 p.m. See the Holiday Pageant at 2 p.m. or 4 p.m.

When you purchase the season ticket package for $38 (adult) or $36 (senior/student):  You may reserve your seats two days prior to the general public for all productions, October 19 for Legal- ly Blonde and March 7 for Showtime. The theater box office will be open from 9 to 10 a.m., just for sub- scribers. (Please note: if you do not reserve your seats during those dates, there is no guarantee of tick- et availability once tickets go on sale to the public.)  You may purchase two additional seats for each season ticket before tickets go on sale to the public.  You may get your tickets at the FHS Business Office from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
