By 2026, the Foundation aims to serve one million youth in high-quality soccer programming and create 1,000 mini-pitches nationwide in support of these efforts. The success of the movement would not be possible without the Foundation’s national partners—adidas, Major League Soccer, Musco Lighting, and Target. This year, they helped make soccer everyone’s game by... ANNUAL REPORT 2020 | 7 Soccer for Success NATIONAL TRAINING The U.S. Soccer Foundation’s Soccer for Success program, offered free to participants and led by trained coach-mentors, incorporates health and wellness education and helps kids develop critical life skills in addition to teaching soccer fundamentals. The result? Kids are healthier, more active, and have the tools they need to succeed both on and off the pitch. Each year, the U.S. Soccer Foundation hosts individuals from across the country for National Training. From July 11 to July 14, 2019, they learned the new Soccer for Success curriculum through a combination of on-field demonstrations, activities, presentations, and classroom-style learning. At the end of the weekend, 130 participants representing 51 Soccer for Success programs across the country became certified to collectively train a total of 5,000Soccer for Success coach-mentors.
