This handbook has been prepared to help you in understanding the purpose and function of our school. Lists of resources have been added to help you obtain answers to questions or concerns you may have. The EUPISD Learning Center is housed at Rudyard Area Schools. The programs are operated by the Eastern Upper Peninsula Intermediate School District. We provide special education programs and services to students from EUPISD local districts. We have six classrooms: two for students with moderate cognitive impairments, one for students with mild cognitive impairments, two for students with emotional impairments, and one early childhood special education classroom.

    BERRIEN COUNTY DIRECTORY 2017 - 2018 GALIEN RIVER COUNTY PARK The Galien River County Park in New Buffalo Township, was acquired by Berrien County in 2001 with the assistance of a Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund Grant. The 86 acre park includes a mix of upland and wetland habitats along the Galien River. The wetland area is particularly significant in that it is a part of the larger “New Buffalo Marsh”, a Great Lakes marsh that formed along the Galien River just upstream from the river’s mouth at Lake Michigan. Major improvements were completed to the park in 2014, with the assistance from the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund, the Pokagon Fund and Berrien County. The Berrien County Parks Commission included a “Canopy Walkway” that leads through the treetops to a 60’ high “Marsh Overlook Tower” and a 600’ long “Marsh Boardwalk” that leads to a “River Viewing and Fishing Platform” on the edge of the Galien River. Both of these major features are accessible via hard surfaced, and barrier free hiking trails. The park is located on Red Arrow Highway in New Buffalo Township, just north of the intersection with US-12. The entrance is located directly across the road from the New Buffalo Township Hall. During the six-month restoration period, the interior and exterior were refurbished, the power supply was increased, modern conveniences were added, and the connected banquet facilities were renovated. Since reopening, it has been used as a performance space for choral groups, symphony orchestras, dance and jazz performances, as well as parties and meetings. The Temple was built in 1927 in a Classic Revival style. Originally part of the Butterfield Theatre chain it was used as a vaudeville/silent movie house for several years and then as a first-run movie theatre until 1976. At that point it passed through the hands of several promoters and community arts organizations during which it served as a venue for live performances and movies. Dr.

Greater Media, Inc. (“Greater Media”), through its subsidiaries, is the licensee of the 23 broadcast radio stations listed in attached Exhibit A. Through its attorneys and pursuant to the Commission’s Rules, Greater Media hereby replies to comments filed in response to the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (“NPRM”) in the above-captioned proceeding. In the NPRM, the Commission solicited comments on proposed regulations that would, inter alia, require the main studio of each broadcast station to be located within the geographic boundaries of the station’s community of license, mandate the propagation of “community advisory boards,” require physical “attendance” of stations during all hours of operation, and reinstate renewal processing “guidelines.” The comments received to date by the Commission indicate an overwhelming lack of public and industry support for these proposals. Still, several commenters applaud them, and urge even more extensive regulation along the same lines.1 In so doing, they echo a primary theme of the NPRM - - that broadcasters are not significantly enough involved in their communities, or sufficiently responsive to community needs. 1 See, e.g., Comments of the Public Interest Public Airwaves Coalition, MB Docket No. 04-233 (April 28, 2008). 262585 Greater Media participated, along with 43 other broadcasting organizations representing more than 600 radio and television stations, in the filing of joint comments in response to the NPRM.2 These joint comments demonstrated how the present proposals would have a far reaching, potentially debilitating impact on the broadcasting industry, while engendering few public benefits.
