To begin with, I would like to thank my PhD supervisors – Dr Devendra Kodwani, Dr Michael Oliver, and Dr Howard Viney – for their patience, invaluable feedback and comments on my PhD thesis, and the insightful conversations we held throughout my PhD thesis writing process.
