We estimate that the church can take about 120, inclusive of the choir pews but for the installation service we have to fit in many guests in addition to members of our own congregations – local clergy, Serena’s own personal guests, represent- atives of significant local organisations etc. To increase the numbers we can accommodate, there will be a sound and vision relay from the church to the village hall. We have done this a number of times for big events such as funerals and it works very well. We do appreciate that most people would probably very much prefer to be in the church, but this is simply not possible. After service refreshments will be served in marquees in the grounds of the village hall. Individual invitations have already been sent out to a number of people we are obliged to invite. Anyone who has received an individual invitation will be seated in the church. In addition, if you have a mobility issue could you please get in touch with me ([email protected]) well in advance of the service so I can arrange a seat in the church for you. There will be no other reserved seats. Seats will be allocated on the day on a first come, first served basis. Please note that this is a change from previously notified arrangements. We have decided against making the service an entirely ticketed event. Although a lot of planning has been done already, much remains to be done. If you think you can help with catering or ushering or car parking, I should love to hear from you. Judy Graydon’s exhibition in the hall showing the history of Un- derriver Village was well studied out of the rain. Here are just a few pictures of the day. 10 11 THURSDAY UNDERRIVER GROUP On Saturday June 24 a memorial service was held at St Margaret's Church to celebrate the life of Margaret Ward.
