THIS WEEK IN PAC-12 WOMEN’S SOCCER STANFORD clinched its fourth consecutive Pac-12 title with a win over then-No. 2 UCLA on Sunday. The Cardinal, which extended its Conference winning streak to 41 games (the third longest in NCAA DI history), edged USC in double overtime on Friday and scored two late goals to rally past the Bruins on Sunday. Rivalry matchups await the Cardinal and its Conference cohorts in the !nal week of the regular season, as the defending NCAA champs travel to Berkeley to play CALIFORNIA on Sunday in the Pac-12’s regular season !nale. Stanford has not lost a true road match since 2008 and looks to post its fourth perfect Conference record in as many years. The Cardinal remains at No. 1 in the latest NSCAA poll, while UCLA slipped to No. 3 and California—which lost to UCLA on Friday— fell to No. 23. WASHINGTON is the Conference’s lone vote-getter in the coaches’ poll. Every league matchup this weekend, which includes the Arizona/Arizona State, Colorado/Utah, Oregon/Oregon State, USC/UCLA and Washington/Washington State rivalries, will be televised live on the Pac-12 Networks. The action kicks off on Friday with three afternoon matches.

•In a matchup of the Pac-12’s newest members, Colorado and Utah do battle UPCOMING SCHEDULE in Boulder on Friday. The Utes won last year’s tilt in Salt Lake City, but Colorado (Times local to site) has won two of its last three games, and Utah is still looking for its !rst road win in Pac-12 play this season. Prior to Sunday’s loss to Arizona State, the Buffaloes Friday, November 2 had notched back-to-back wins (USC and Arizona) in Conference play for the !rst time since joining the Pac-12 in 2011. She has started every match for Oregon in three-plus seasons with the program and, in 2011, she registered a team-high USC 12 4 7 0 .364 four goals. Libke was a !rst team All-Pac-12 selection last year and was named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman team in 2009. This season, she has been a Oregon 11 3 6 2 .364 !xture along Oregon’s back line and has picked up a goal—a game-winner against Seattle on Sept. 14— and two assists in eight games. Colorado 4 1 9 1 .136 Arizona 4 1 9 1 .136 A player who leads by example, Libke has made a concerted effort to be a vocal leader as well. She is a team captain and has been counted upon to !ll vari- ous roles on the pitch and among the team leadership. Libke is a two-time Academic All-Conference selection and carries a 3.36 GPA while double major- ing in Spanish and Journalism. She has targeted Spring of 2014 for graduation prior to which she will study abroad. Off the !eld, Libke is actively involved with community service efforts with various organizations, including O-Heroes, the student-athlete community organization at Oregon. Most recently with O-Heroes, she assisted with the reopening and ribbon cutting of the Boys and Girls club of Emerald Valley in Eugene. She helped organize a youth “O”lympics that paired participating children with student-athletes and was held in conjunction with the reopening of the Boys and Girls Club. Libke also assisted at the student-athlete talent show where she assembled and distributed Thanksgiving baskets.

Noguiera, who hails from Westminster Calif., is a four-year starter for the Cardinal. She has been a key contributor to a program that has won three-consec- utive Pac-12 titles, clinched three-straight berths in the NCAA College Cup !nals and won the 2011 national championship. Nogueira, a three-time all-con- ference performer, garnered NSCAA third team All-America honors and Pac-10 Freshman of the Year accolades in 2009. She has recorded 18 goals and 14 assists in her career and has participated with the U.S. Under-20 and U-23 teams. Nogueira, a team captain, has been an offensive force for the Cardinal in 2012, tying for the team-lead with four goals, two of which have been game-winners.

A two-year NSCAA Scholar All-West honorable mention selection, Nogueira maintains a 3.63 cumulative GPA. She has twice been a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention selection and has helped the Cardinal to three-consecutive NSCAA Team Academic Awards. She is on track to graduate in Spring, 2013. In the community, Nogueira has volunteered with Special Olympics and the Bay Area Sports Initiative and has worked the Halloween Carnival in East Palo Alto. She has devoted time during the week to tutoring young students from East Palo Alto and visiting the elderly and has been active in Kappa Alpha Theta soror- ity philanthropy events. Additionally, she has been a Sunday School teacher and currently serves as the LDS-Single Adults co-president. She has volunteered at youth soccer development camps throughout Huntington Beach, Long Beach and Paci!c Palisades, and feeds the homeless during holidays. Nogueira traveled to the Dominican Republic in the Spring of 2011 with Kids Alive International, a non-pro!t organization that provides spiritual, physical, educational and emotional support to underprivileged children around the world. With Kids Alive, Nogueira helped build a school and taught PE classes.

The Senior CLASS Award winner will be announced during the 2012 Women’s College Cup Championships, which take place November 30 and December 2 in San Diego, Calif. The pool will be trimmed to 10 !nalists midway through the regular season, with those !nalists making up the of!cial ballot. Ballots will be distributed through a nationwide voting system to media, coaches and fans, who will select one male candidate and one female candidate who best exemplify excellence in the four Cs of community, classroom, character and competition.

PAC-12 IN THE 2012 OLYMPICS

Sixteen current and former Pac-12 soccer players represented four countries (on the active roster or as alternates) at the 2012 Olympic games in London. 10 of those players were members of the gold-medal-winning United States squad, four represented New Zealand, one played for bronze medalist Canada and one took the !eld for Colom- 2012 Pac 12 bia.
