Our Church in Worship

Welcome

Joys And Concerns/Time Of Greeting

WE WELCOME GOD’S SABBATH WITH PRAISE

Prelude “Chanson Matinale” Richard Lange Let us use this time of the prelude as a call to silent, personal preparation for the worship of God.

Call to Worship O people of God, gather as the church in unity. Christ Jesus has made us his own! The news is good! Christ Jesus has made us his own! The meal is ready! He invites us to come and share. Christ Jesus has made us his own! His gift is peace with God and with each other. Today God’s people will gather from all corners of the earth to worship and break bread together. Let us join our hearts and voices in this moment.

* of Praise #439 “In Christ There Is No East or West” *Prayer of Confession God of our lives, remind us that Your call is not just to this treasured time of worship, but it is to move out and into all the arenas of life. When we have food, let us remember the hungry. When we have work, let us remember the jobless. When we have a home, let us remember the homeless. When we are without pain, let us remember those who suffer; and remembering, let our complacency be abolished and our compassionate hearts stirred. Make us concerned enough to help, by word and deed, those who cry out for what we take for granted. Gracious God, hear our prayer….

*Silent Prayers

*Assurance of Pardon God delights in our prayers, forgives our sins, and welcomes us into the work of the kingdom. God’s promise endures: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Thanks be to God!

*Response #576 “ Gloria” Gloria, Gloria, in excelsis Deo! Gloria, Gloria, , Alleluia!

*Blessing God’s hand of blessing rests upon each one of us. Go forth into the world with the knowledge of who you are: a child of God; a guest at the Communion Table; a peacemaker with a holy calling to be lived out each day.+ May the knowledge of who we are in God’s sight sustain and challenge us as we journey into the world.
