SUMMARY

On 08 January 2021, a flooding incident occurred in low-lying areas in particularly in City, City, Sagay City, Cadiz City, E.B. Magalona and other municipalities in the province of brought by the tail-end of a frontal system Source: DSWD-FO VI

I. Status of Affected Families / Persons A total of 41,781 families or 182,658 persons were affected by the flooding incident in 97 barangays in Western Visayas (see Table 1).

II. Status of Displaced Families / Persons a. Inside Evacuation Center There are 29 families or 116 persons taking temporary shelter in one (1) evacuation center in Western Visayas (see Table 2).

b. Outside Evacuation Center A total of 3,650 families or 16,356 persons have temporarily stayed with their relatives and/or friends (see Table 3).

III. Damaged Houses A total of 1,264 damaged houses; of which, 120 were totally damaged and 1,114 were partially damaged (see Table 4).

IV. Assistance Provided A total of ₱8,466,687.00 worth of assistance was provided to the affected families; of

which, ₱3,733,900.00 from DSWD, ₱3,832,059.00 from LGUs, and ₱900,728.00 from NGOs (see Table 5).

SITUATIONAL REPORT

DSWD-DRMB DATE SITUATIONS / ACTIONS UNDERTAKEN • The Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC) 19 January 2021 of the DSWD-DRMB is closely coordinating with DSWD-FO VI for significant reports on the status of affected families, assistance, and relief efforts.

DSWD-FO VI DATE SITUATIONS / ACTIONS UNDERTAKEN • DSWD-FO VI is currently facilitating LGU/CSWDO consultations for the preparation 19 January 2021 of rehabilitation plan for affected LGUs. • DSWD-FO VI provided 7,590 family food packs (FFPs) to the affected families.

***** The Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC) of the DSWD-DRMB is closely coordinating with DSWD-FO VI for any significant disaster response updates.
