To put it in other words, it is the occurrence of a sudden mishap/ Plan calamity/ grave occurrence that disrupts the basic fabric and normal functioning of a society (or community). Objective of the plan : The District of Nashik, situated on the North-West side of Maharashtra is vulnerable to various kind of hazard like flood, earthquake, fire hazard, drought, road & railway accidents, chemical hazard, communal violence, epidemic, hailstorm, heat wave & cold wave , stamped etc. Keeping in mind of these very possible disasters in the district that may cause major setbacks to lives, livelihoods and property (both movable and immovable), the District Administration, Nashik felt the urgency of the need of preparing an emergency response planning. The devastation caused by various kinds of natural and man-mad hazards has posed a challenge before the Nashik district administration to analyse each and every decision making process to gear up the rescue and restoration during such situations as well as building up the capacity to face further calamities in future. -

CHAPTER 3 Profile of Ahmednagar District and Pravara Area 3 1 Profile of Ahmednagar District The District is named after Ahmednagar town. The town is famous since the medieval times. Ahmednagar district, popularly called Nagar came into existence in 1818. In 1822 its boundaries spread between Vani Dindory sub division of Nasik and Karmala in Solapur district. In 1830 Solapur sub- collectorate was inducted in the district and continued as such till it gained the status of an independent collectorate in 1838. Dunng 1837-38, Nasik sub- collectorate comprising of sub-division of Sinnar, Chandor, Dindori, Nasik, Igutpuri and Peint tahsil was under Ahmednagar district, subsequently this sub- collectorate of Nasik was abolished in 1856 and the area reverted to Ahmednagar district. 1869 witnessed the declaration of Solapur and Nasik as independent disthcts thus leading to the shaping and emergence of present Ahmednagar district. 1) Location Ahmednagar distnct is situated partly in the upper Gadhavari basin and partly in the Bhima basin occupying a somewhat central position in Maharashtra State. It extends between 18°. 2’ and 10°. 9’ North latitudes and 73°.9’ and 75°.5’ East longitudes. The district is irregular in shape and resembles a slanting cross with a length of 200 kms and a breadth of 210 kms. (It is surrounded by Nasik district to the North, Aurngabad distnct to the North East, Beed district to the 70 east, Osmanabad and Solapur districts to the South, Pune district to the West and Thane district to the North West) 2) Area Ahmednagar disthct covers an area of 17048.00 sq.km as per 1991 census and considered as the largest district of the state in area, occupying somewhat central position in Maharashtra. -

The holy shrine of Sai Baba at Shirdi in Kopargaon tahsil is very famous and draws thousands of devotees belonging to different castes and religions from not only from Maharashtra but also from far off places in India. One of the biggest fair in Maharashtra is held in honour of the famous Saint Shri Sai Baba in Chaitra Sud. 8 and 9. The Sai Baba temple commands a vast area of four acres. The temple has two doors facing the north and south. The north is used for entry and south is used for exit. In the temple, thpre is a platform and above the platform there is the Saint's thorne of marble lined with silver plates. On this thorne there is a full-size image of the Saint Sai Baba with six feet in height and in a sitting posture. It IS a perfect specimen of craftmanship in marble. -

Measuring spatial inequality usually involves calculating their socio-economic parameters. The government of India has lunched many socio-economic programmers like, education, health, work and supply of electricity for all villages, irrigation for every part of land etc for development of human resource. The main objective an attempt has been present in this paper to identify the level of human resource development and its pattern during decade 2011 in Pathardi Tahsil. Data have occupied from census 2011 to identify backwardness a simple statistical calculation has been performing with help of the secondary data for selected parameters to get their index values.
