  • Wxw Holds Keynote on Wxw NOW Streaming
wXw holds keynote on wXw NOW streaming service, announces details on Germany's first wrestling network wXw just announced the first in-depth details on our new "wXw NOW" streaming network, which will launch one month from now on 8/13 at www.wxwnow.de. It will not just be a collection of shows like a lot of companies offer for a monthly fee via Pivotshare but also offer original content and a lot of archived shows, some dating back as far as 2006. We will also have our uniquely designed interface/UI, while hosting and infrastructure will be managed by Vimeo, our long-time streaming partner, dating back to 2013. Wrestling journalist Markus Gronemann (DarkMat.eu, Wrestling Observer) considers this to be the biggest launch of an over-the-top pro wrestling channel by a single promotion since New Japan World. wXw Managing Director Christian Jakobi held a keynote presentation tonight at 8 pm CEST at the wXw Wrestling Academy training school, which was streamed live on Facebook (the video is available, albeit only in German, here) and talked about what future and past events and what kind of original content would be available. We had up to 750 viewers simultaneously on Facebook and also had some students and a trainer (Toby Blunt) in attendance to provide some crowd noise and cheering at key points during the announcement. Marquee Events are wXw's version of pay-per-view caliber shows, where feuds start and end and international talent often appears. There currently are 10 marquee events on the calendar, with some of them being multi-day shows:

2014 was a unique year for pro-wrestling, one that will undoubtedly be viewed as historically significant in years to follow. Whether it is to be reflected upon positively or negatively is not only highly subjective, but also context-specific with major occurrences transpiring across the pro-wrestling world over the last 12 months, each with its own strong, and at times far reaching, consequences. The WWE launched its much awaited Network, New Japan continued to expand, CMLL booked lucha's biggest match in well over a decade, culminating in the country's first million dollar gate, TNA teetered more precariously on the brink of death than perhaps ever before, Daniel Bryan won the WWE's top prize, Dragon Gate and DDT saw continued success before their loyal niche audiences, Alberto Del Rio and CM Punk departed the WWE with one ending up in the most unexpected of places, a developing and divergent style produced some of the best indie matches of the year, the European scene flourished, the Shield disbanded, Batista returned, Daniel Bryan relinquished his championship, and the Undertaker's streak came to an unexpected and dramatic end. These are but some of the happenings, which made 2014 the year that it was, and it is in this year-book that we look to not only recap all of these events and more, but also contemplate their relevance to the greater pro-wrestling landscape, both for 2015 and beyond. It should be stated that this year-book was inspired by the DKP Annuals that were released in 2011 and 2012, in fact, it was the absence of a 2013 annual that inspired us to produce a year-book for 2014.

Cubed Circle Newsletter Issue 229 – It's Here Everybody! Say what you will about the build to WrestleMania 32, or even recent WrestleManias in general; I don't think that many would argue with the idea that WrestleMania Weekend is the best time of the year to be a wrestling fan – perhaps only rivalled by the G1 Climax. If you are a fan of professional wrestling there will be something for you to enjoy this weekend, of that you can be sure. We have a light issue for everyone this week, as we get ready for one of our best and biggest issues of the year in our annual WrestleMania issue next week. As always, Ben covers all of the news in the Pro-Wres Digest, as well as coverage of the go-home edition of RAW from Monday night! – Ryan Clingman, Cubed Circle Newsletter Editor The Pro-Wres Digest for March 27th – April 1st. @BenCarass. Top Stories: We unfortunately have some heartbreaking news to start what is the biggest week of the year for pro wrestling, as 32 year-old British wrestler Kris Travis tragically passed away after an 18 month battle with stomach cancer on 31/3. Travis was diagnosed with the disease in October 2014 and had to pull out of the second season of TNA British Bootcamp because of the diagnosis. In 2015 he underwent surgery to remove a tumour and a part of his stomach then went through 18 weeks of intensive chemotherapy, which appeared to put him on the road to recovery. Travis defied all doctors expectations and returned to the ring at a Preston City Wrestling show on August 7th 2015.

Founded in 1999, the organization is primarily based out of Philadelphia, the unofficial home of hardcore wrestling. While the promotion has its roots in ultraviolent matches that frequently include elements like barbed wire and glass, CZW also heavily features some of the top Junior Heavyweight talents in wrestling. The promotion runs monthly shows in the greater Philadelphia area, while also touring other parts of the US, Europe and Japan. CZW was founded by Hardcore Hall of Fame inductee John Zandig, and is currently owned by DJ Hyde, who has kept CZW true to its hardcore roots while continuing to showcase some of the best action the independent wrestling circuit has to offer. Combat Zone Wrestling Titles CZW World Heavyweight Championship – The top championship in CZW dates back to 1999, when Nick Gage won a 20-man Battle Royal to be named the first champion. The title is open to all wrestlers and can be contested under standard rules matches, but is frequently defended in ultraviolent rules matches. MASADA unified the Heavyweight Championship and the Ultraviolent Underground Championship in May 2012.

  • GXW Live Pro Wrestling Update
GXW Live Pro Wrestling update Posted by TBN_News On 07/23/2015 Good Morning Southern Maryland, I hope this week treats you well. A Special shout out to Troy Hansen Law, Sparkle Salon, Blue Wind Gourmet and TheBayNet.com for allowing pro wrestling to live here in Southern Maryland. If you ever have any legal issues, especially family including Divorce, contact Troy Hansen Law based out of Leonardtown today, he is a great community member that takes tremendous pride in making sure his client gets what they deserve. I would like to start off this week’s episode by sending my love band support to Thomas. My mother and I were driving into town and witnessed a motorcycle accident. My mother being a retired Red Cross worker has always been responsive to emergency situations, so we both stopped and got out to assist, I was the first to talk with the young man Thomas,( who was so thankfully wearing his helmet) while another concerned citizen who had stopped called 911. Thomas was responsive and I passed the time trying to calm him by talking about WWE wrestlers until an off duty fire man arrived to take control. Very quickly afterwards the rescue squad and mother and I saw we were no longer needed and went on to town. It is times like these that refresh my views on humanity as I see many strangers pull together to help another stranger in times of need, I want to send my warmest thanks to all that stopped to help and show concern, Thomas young man I hope this finds you well.
